I would've definitely skipped those last two lay eggs brown powers, but I actually think you're correct the way you did it. Hindsight says you should've skipped, but I 100% expected them to double play and you should always play for that risk. If you skip the 2 points and they double play, you lose a lot more. The way you played it, you only lost a single point which is much safer.

Why didn't you keep the Graylag Goose from starting hand? It fulfills 3/4 of the end of round goals. Granted, that's one less food to start with, but if you can get it down in round one, then you can draw 3 cards and have a better chance towards winning the end of round goals. I understand that's reliant on an "if", but for possible 3 rounds that seems like a worthy risk?
