Awesome video, agree with all the tips! Something else I generally see beginners do (which kind of fits with your tip #5) is value low point bonus card birds at the very end of the game over high point bird cards. Birds like the sprague's pipit, cerulean warbler, cassin's finch are great mid-game, but are a huge risk at the end of the game where you have no time to work towards the bonus card, and in the majority of cases, it's generally better to either play high point birds like the baltimore oriole, american woodcock, trumpeter swan, etc, or just run an efficient engine more times.
