That is why they switched to underground hidden tombs. Nobody except the priest, the pharaohs and the workers knew where the underground tombs were. The reason the tombs were robbed was because the priest turned on the pharaoh and robbed the tombs. The tombs that we know like Tut's tomb, did not start till the 18th dynasty. All the underground tombs are from the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties. That was the period where they started spending lots of money, and everything was gold. Well Egypt went bankrupt, and the priest were not getting paid, so they robbed the tombs. Somehow they either forgot, or got caught right at Tut's tomb. Something stopped them from raiding Tut's tomb, and a room right off of his tomb is where they were taking everything from all the tombs and leaving the useless stuff, and taking the valuables. The same room where all the pictures from Tut's tomb were taken 100 years ago, is the same room where the tomb robbers divided up the loot. Again, something stopped them from raiding his tomb, so they were likely caught before they could raid it. Nonetheless, they stopped building pyramids because of robbers, switched to underground tombs, and stopped making them for the same reason. Not sure how they could not figure out pyramids were a bad idea, but it is mind blowing. Picture this, the pyramids for thousands for years were the tallest structures ever built. They were blinding white with huge gold caps on top, and somehow they did not see that they were just advertising to criminals to come steal the valuables inside. The pyramids were actually inside a white polished limestone casing, and were perfectly flat on all sides. Looking at them in the daytime would be like looking at snow on a sunny day, it would be blinding. Again, not sure how they did not see it coming. The pyramids were literally like shiny road signs that said 'valuables inside'. But hey these are the same people that lost the Sphinx at least twice. Yes they lost the Sphinx twice. How do we know this, well because between the sphinx's legs there is a stone that tells the story of how it was found thousands of years ago. So for at least a thousand years it was just a head, then for a few thousand years it was just a head again, till the body was found again in 1817. That is why when you see all the old pictures of the Sphinx it only shows a head. So the body was found at least twice Not sure how you forget the Sphinx had a body twice.

There are burial chambers all over Egypt, the Great Pyramids are nothing like them. You don't build with the precision of the pyramids unless they have a function

Could you see that the pyramids were actually made of concrete? The ancient Egyptians knew how to make a geopolymer concrete out of materials sourced on the Giza Plateau itself. The blocks were poured into place using formwork just like we do today.

I always wondered whether it would be possible to skim the surface of a body of water, flare till you bleed off most of your velocity into altitude, and then just drop into the water without using a parachute.
