Each of these Winkbed mattresses are high-quality options with fantastic scores in our performance tests. They offer excellent cooling, fast response time, excellent pressure relief, and fast off-gassing.
The Winkbed Luxury Firm has very low motion transfer, while the WinkBed Soft and Plus were a bit higher. Edge support was fantastic on the Luxury Firm and the Plus, but a little worse on the Winkbed Soft (likely due to the softer feel).
The Winkbed soft is best for lighter weight sleepers, but especially lightweight side sleepers.
The Winkbed Luxury firm is a well balanced mattress suitable to the needs of most sleepers. If you’re just looking for a balanced, medium feel, this is it. Works great for all but the heaviest body types and all sleeping positions.
The firm Winkbed is better for back and stomach sleeper, but especially if you’re over 250 pounds.
Lastly, the Winkbed Plus is ideal for heavier body types over 300 pounds. It’s suitable to all sleeping positions for heavier bodies.

My husband and I have been researching this bed. Your video was excellent and I appreciate the clear and concise explanations between the beds offered. I was on the fence thinking if we tried the luxury firm that I would wonder about the soft but after your video and a email from a rep at Wink Bed I think we will be trying out this company and it’s bed. im strictly a side sleeper and this mattress is great. ( soft version ) it was a little firmer than i expected at first, but after breaking it in after about two weeks, i have no complaints.

Excellent comparison. Are you planning to test the Saatva HD any time soon? I tested it in their San Francisco store and I loved it, but I didn’t know how firm it is when it first arrives or how it would measure up to your tests. I wonder how it compares to the Winkbed Plus. Would you recommend the Luxury Firm model over the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid?

In most cases, yes. However, if you really love the feel of memory foam then the Nectar is the better choice. For other sleepers, Winkbed is the better choice.

So is the firmer or the plus more firm? I see they are both rated a 7 on the firmness scale. So do they feel about the same firmness wise

I found them to be basically the same firmness, 7 out of 10, slightly firm feel.

Have you reached out to Winkbed for a replacement under the warranty? Any dent greater than 1.5" is covered. Out of curiosity - what type of foundation do you have the mattress on? Certain foundation types don't always provide enough support and can lead to premature dents and body impressions.

@@NapLabReviews Thanks for that! I am thinking about buying one, but a bit turned off as Im reading the Winkbed requires it to be rotated. Rotating a really heavy king bed isnt really tops on my list for the weekends. What happens if it doesnt get rotated?

@@FreedomFiveFL In case it helps, virtually all mattresses need to be rotated. Doing so helps to wear more evenly. If you don't rotate it can mean that one side ends up with more wear / tear depending on how you sleep, sleeping partners, body weights, body types, etc. That said, it's not something you need to do often. Rotate at the 6 month mark and then every 12 months after that.

@@FreedomFiveFLI have the winkbed in luxury firm and have rotated it per their instructions and it’s honestly not that bad. Just put reminders in my phone for each rotation interval and I don’t worry about it until Siri yells at me to rotate. Piece of cake.

How does selecting a mattress get effected if you’re accounting for your partner? I’m 5’11 180ish… partner is 5’7 160ish… thinking of the king firm option? Or is luxury firm still better? both of us sleep on our sides and back… i also sleep on my stomach at times. neither of us want to sink in, nervous that a luxury firm won’t support us both

Most of the time you try and choose a mattress with features / feel / materials that overlap the most with you and your partner's respect needs. Given that you are both combination sleepers and not heavy the luxury firm is definitely going to be the best choice (whether it's Winkbed or a different brand).

Based on the other versions we did test, I would estimate it at a 7 out of 10 firmness, where 10 is the most firm.

Thanks! Can you recommend any extra firm mattresses that are a nine out of 10? Not the plank- it doesn’t have good edge support.

@@Aphillywitdahoodie No...Winkbeds are good....I also have a Luuf bed that's made by Symbol Mattress....It's less expensive and I don't recommend it....I was hoping to get the quality of a Winkbed at a cheaper price being that they are manufactured at the same factory but that is not the case...also, Symbol Mattress was bought by Corsicana Mattress a few years back....Winkbeds mattress is recommended and worth the extra cost
