Daniel WINKLER uses some special blade magic on his heat treat. I know because I have owned a WINKLER belt knife for years , and it gets so scary sharp and it lasts pretty good. I think it is a perfect EDC knife. It is my favorite knife , and I heard of him from my friend who is a Navy SEAL that said it was the best knife he has ever used ,and he was offered a lot of different blades they can choose their knives. Thank you WINKLER!
I lived in Boone and discovered his work while i lived there. Mast General Store in Valle Crucis is the local out fitter and sell a lot of his work. The winkler name is big up there
Randal Flagg THAT is ALWAYS My 'Achilles' Heel'...my wife KNOWS..REALLY KNOWS that look I get plastered on my face when I see a new/cool/unique blade or hawk ~ saving for the RMJ Tactical "Eagles Talon" Tomahawk... 😴 zzzz..!!! NIGHT, ALL....or...the SAR Knife by Winkler II Knives..!!/??? Damn..., I'm cursed!
+MAX KAWS Ive used both, and I like both. I would probably go with the 80crv2. It is extremely tough, and holds an amazing edge for a long time. You could bend it 90 degrees and it wont snap!
They are both pretty easy to sharpen, and both get Really sharp. I think the CPM3V holds an edge a little longer, and I do not know which one is tougher, but I really abuse my WINKLER, and it is 80CRV2 . My knife with nextgen CPM3V has serrations and I use it for cardboard it is a TOOR darter in Ranger Green. I do not know what one is better, but I do know they are both way better than 52100 ( I think that’s what it was) it was not that good.
It's old world instruments that you are hearing not necessarily Irish--the Harpsichord & the Hurdy-Gurdy. I love sound of them & go to recitals sometimes on college campus. Sounds of a bygone era.
