Great looking dart. I am currently using the MVG XQMax 23g and love them. I may have to get a set of these as well. Fairly priced at darts corner. Great review like always!

Thanks for the quick review! The most interesting model in the new MvG series. The arrangement of cuts is very similar to the XQmax model.

Hi darren I see that this new set is shorter than the previous xq max model. They are around 50 mm now. They fly well I usually throw with two finger in the ringed section of the mvg dart. I think they suit my throw what do you think?

I've never understood the centre of gravity thing on a straight barrel dart 😅 does that mean if I use a shorter stem and standard flight this particular dart is more likely too land more up right like mvgs do or is it the longer stem that does this and just mvgs throw that makes his darts land upright

The set up as you can see in my many reviews only changes the balance a small amount, but people would always ask me what the balance is like, so like a lot of what I do in my reviews its a result of people asking me for specific details. I provide the info but what help it is to them is up to them I guess lol I think a lot stems from one of the old sayings of you should hold the dart at its balance point. I could never understand that fully, as a front gripper I was rarely anywhere near the balance point. I think it really only has an effect once you start throwing it. Its how it works with the way you throw and how it flies through the air. You can only know what is right through lots of throwing and testing of certain set ups. I think the length of the stem is what will have the effect the most when its in flight, not because of the weight but for the fact its putting the stabilizer, that is the flight, at a shorter or longer distance. Probably a lot more scientific than that but in simple terms, just stick to what works lol

Don’t know if you have reviewed his absolute model yet but I’m torn between the authentic or absolutes. Both look great darts I do like a grippy dart though. Could you try putting me in the right direction?

not tried them yet, only set I have had are these Authentics. After I bought them Winmau said they would send some others to review but they never did.

I'm a front gripper, check 07:27 for rear grip but MVG is rear gripper and they work for him :)

Do you have problems with winmau prism force holding on to the flight? The flight on the prism force are not as secure as on the robson.

Absolutes have squares instead of grooves.

I think the exact are grippier in some parts but not as grippy in others, but there is not a lot in it either way, maybe just a difference of 1

Sam Jary yes, I used them all. I think the Winmau will last longer. many dart shops in the Netherlands also recommend Winmau Blade 5.

Darren what darts weight do you prefer? I’ve thrown 26g all along but sometimes after long practice my wrist starts to hurt. Don’t know whether to change my darts weight or not. Gonna get a set of these soon. Another good review 🎯

I went down in stages, used 27g for a while then 25g then 24g for a long while and then settled on 23g :)

I prefer the Absolute - The ones with the tapered nose and a different grip pattern instead of rings.

@@tomgengar Yes. I wrote "Masterdarts". I habe sone here. I watched out where they come from. When they are from WQ they are marked as that manufacturer. My Masterdarts have a weight of 21Gramms...what is perfect for me. And i am a fan of Michael so i gought some original Flights from hin (Winmau) ...very funny. I play more as sh*t....but for fun i play..... and thats whats counts :)
