Great video and info. Thanks. I have always been taught that a slight slope on the awning is probably preferred. If water pools, the weight could bring it crashing down.

I'm 80% on Tucson. Have not made any adjustments on the canopy to fine tune it yet. The slope and door clearance you mentioned I believe is fine, it's just the full retraction which is an issue. I have to get my stairs to operate, which is my #1 priority right now. Love your presentation style, and the camera woman gets it done! ;)

@@ekkonesters599 Awesome offer and I may take you up on it! There is power to the controller, but they don't move. Could be the motor, the controller, or just a bad ground wire. I have some trouble shooting in front of me. 🙄

We just picked u p our '24 Ekko and have been searching for videos on winterizing the Rig and have really only found the Lichtsinn video which I believe has some mistakes in it. Also, we cannot find any videos showing how to lower your spare tire and change a flat. Lastly, how about a video about extended tire valves for the inside tires? Hello, thank you for the great compliment. Yes, I definitely pitch it out when it rains. We were just doing this last night while on a little short journey and there was a bit of a sprinkle. It made the difference of sitting out comfortably.
I appreciate your videos. So much that we went out and bought a new EKKO in San Diego. Traded in our Coachmen Beyond. Love it! But after we shut off the engine, there is a beep that seems to be coming from the passenger side in the back of the EKKO. I changed batteries in the box on the awning that connects to bluetooth, but the beep continues. The beep only lasts for a couple of minutes but it is annoying. Anyone know what I have to do to fix it??? Thank you.
Let me try to remember what that is. I know what you’re talking about and I’ve drawn a big blank. That’s so cool that you have an EKKO. As soon as my memory comes back on this, lol I’ll respond.
Hi Jason, I worked on the canopy and got it to retract just fine now. What is happening now is that when deploying, the bars go all the way straight and don’t shut off until the canopy is floppy. The 4 mm adjusting screws on the rearward side don’t seam to do anything to stop the arm. Once the arms are fully extended and are straight, I can use the motor to retract and after the arms retract a foot or so, the canopy gets tight. That’s where I want the motor drive to stop, but can’t figure out how to make it stop there. I’ll be in Tucson so maybe I can demo there.
I have the Carefree Freedom awning for the Jayco Terrain 19Y. I had to lift the lip on one end above the opening of my sliding door while the awning motor was running. I then climber a ladder to do the same on the far end of the awning at the rear of my van. When that didn't work I gave it a bang with my fist and it opened about 2 feet. I then rocked the awning with the controls until it was fully extended. Once extended I climbed up the ladder and made sure the black sliding adjusters were each 12 inches from each metal end.
I have a 2018 open range with a carefree awning, had it looked at by a roadside tech and now it wont move at all, and its currently extended all the way, with a severe thunderstorm tonight, if anyone sees this comment with knowledge how to manually retract it would be awesome

Just adjusted my pitch. But I can’t get the support bar to tighten to the canvas. Now it won’t close all the way. It stops when the bar hit the enclosure.
There are two small rubber stops along the slide tail that is attached to the EKKO. They are about 12” to 16” in from where the ends of the railing are located. Slide these in closer to the mechanism that you adjusted the pitch with. You may have to move it about 1” at a time. Let me know if that helps.
