"is that not the scoreboard?" "yes that is the scoredboard." "is that not a 74?" "yes that 74." "Is that not a 64?" "yes that is a 64.'' "is that not the winning team?" yes that is the winning team." "is that not the losing team?" "yes that is the losing team" "winning team, losing team, etc."
@WhenNothingsLeftToDo "Is that not a scoreboard?" "Yes, that is a scoreboard!" "Is that not a (insert higher score)?" "Yes, that is a (insert higher score)!" *repeat for lower score* "Is that not the winning team?" "Yes, that is the winning team!" "Is that not the losing team?" "Yes, that is the losing team!" "Winning team, losing team! Winning team, losing team! Winning team, losing team!......"
I'm a Utes fan, but USU fans are so amazing with their basketball. It really is a special place to go see a game, and an amazing atmosphere. Keep it up guys, always rooting for you, unless you play the U.
@Steven Merrill...You hit the nail on the head. I grew up in Aggie territory and spent many Friday/Saturday night's at the Spectrum until I graduated from high school. The U is my Alma Matter as well, but you haven't attended a basketball game until you've attended one at USU! It is a fun experience!!
Imagine being the visiting team and hearing this chant. I would love to bring this to my high school, but the problem is that it’s against the spectator rules mentioned in both the #ihsaa and #ighsau to deliver chants directed at the opponent.
GO BIG BLUE!! Love my Aggies!!! Graduated in '94 and was voted Fan of The Year in 1993. My most coveted award! ;-)) Wish we had this chant back then, but my fraternity and I had some fune ones under the basket. I miss the Spectrum!
If you need a link to the video of us doing this at Lawlor for the WAC Championship game last year, I can provide it. Nevada and USU are both great programs, but USU has won 7 of the last 9 head to head now. Being 174-13 at home over 12 years is good enough to earn doing a chant like this.
coming from a student section whose team is a number one seed in the tourney... id have to say this is amazing. makes me want to attend a utah st game as a student.
Haha I saw this on tv when Wichita State played there. I go to KU, so I have all of the Allen Field House traditions. I would love to see this in person.
@LeeAnnaMarie03 its a chant where one guy asks questions and the crowd responds, so it goes, "Is that not the scoreboard?" "Yes thats is the scoreboard", "Is that not a 74?" "Yes that is a 74", "Is that not a 62?" "Yes that is a 62", "Is that not the Winning Team?" "Yes that is the Winning Team", "Is that not the Losing Team?" "Yes that is the losing team", "WINNING TEAM LOSING TEAM, WINNING TEAM LOSING TEAM, WINNING TEAM LOSING TEAM, WINNING TEAM LOSING TEAM, WINNING TEAM LOSING TEAM"
That is a tiny glimpse of the hell known as The Spectrum. 4k+ student section can ring some ears!! Stew Morrill is now 172-13 in this building as head coach.
In case you weren't aware, there are only three teams in the nation who have won at least 23 games a year every year for the past 10 years... Gonzaga, Kansas, and Utah State. If the Jayhawks would come play here, we'd love to have them.
Until about 3 minutes ago, I didn't know that there was a Utah State basketball team. As of right now, I think they have the best student fanbase in the nation. I can't understand everything that's being said, but I am impressed.
Yes. A small group of students behind the basket will yell out the question “Is that not a scoreboard?” Then the rest of the crowd will answer in unison “Yes that is a scoreboard!” Then the small group will ask if that is the score of the home team, in this case 74. “Is that not a 74?” To which the crowd will reply “Yes that is a 74!” Then the small group will ask about the score of the away team, in this case 63. “Is that not a 63?” And the crowd will answer “Yes that is a 63!” Then the small group will point to the home team on the floor and ask “Is that not the winning team?” To which the crowd will reply, pointing to the home team, “Yes that is the winning team!” The small group will then point to the away team and ask “Is that not the losing team?” The crowd will respond by pointing to the away team and yelling “Yes that is the losing team!” Then the small group and the crowd will start to yell in unison, while alternating pouting from the home team to the away team, “Winning team! Losing team!” I haven’t been to an Aggie game in years but it is electrifying to be a part of it in person. This video doesn’t even begin to capture how awesome this chant is.
what are the students yelling from about :10 till :22.....i hear the "Winning team! Losing team! Winning team! Losing team!" but idk what they're saying before that part......even still, this is fuckin awesome, best student section chant i've heard in a very long time
@Aggiesalltheway Gotta give it to you. When you're right, you're right. Your crowd is awesome. You may not have invented the cheer but you guys do it the best.
Utah State isn't a powerhouse when playing the nation's top teams around the country, but their home court is an awesome place to watch a game. They currently have the nation's highest home-game winning percentage at home for both the last 5 years (94%), second is Kansas, and ten years (95%). In fact, they're 121-8 at home since Stew Morrill became their coach 14 years ago.
I, as a UNLV fan have almost nothing to do with you Aggies. However, you guys beat BYU and swept UNR, so you people are awesome in my book! Loving your student section too, organized as hell, and your signs were very funny at the BYU game! Unless UNLV is going against you guys, you people are cool in my book!
