Anyway, I forgot to record some matches: Win vs JukeS1 Loss vs LOUGAROUUU Loss vs Trabje 1 loss in the Finals I normally don't record losses because they take up space for no reason; every match I record is 1 GB. Next time I won't forget to record my losses in a tournament. At 11:55 I let something personal bother me, but eventually I overcame it and realised that I need to focus because I was getting my ass beat.
Once you have the time and are in the right headspace, you should def try entering hungrybox’s tourneys. There is some rlly stiff competition, but with prep and the right seeding, I think you could make a good run. I’ll be rooting for you in twitch chat. You’re the batman, man.

I also play batman and my worst matchup is against jake, i can't aproach him! Im relieved that he's a though matchup even for others batman players. Good job bro.
If they spam skateboard then counter with a good positioned fair over and over. It's your only chance at survival. If your struggle is their boathouse move then do a slideattack into them, it's the easiest to hit them with.
"Skateboard to fatguy"💀 what are these combo names dude But yea that's a big problem imo, every skateboard hit does the damage of a normal hit. Kinda insane, it should be 4-6 damage per hit
The only thing I dont like about batman is how long his idle animation takes. Its so cool but I almost never get to see it. Should’ve been his emote imo.
@@MadJuice you can attack with all your moves and play the number of games you want. The challenge is to kill with all 16 batman moves. Ex: first match you kill with the up air special and the air ground normal. Thats 2/16 complete. If i wasnt clear, go watch TcNick, he made a series about that.
Well done my guy congrats! it seemed like a long uphill battle with all those crazy characters. I struggle against superman and bugs. Is it possible for you to do a guide against characters like that or characters that can get rid of the Batarang? You don’t seem too combo focused in your gameplay mainly up special oriented, is there a reason for that or is this how you think Batman is most effective?
In the future I might make specific matchup videos soon. School is starting again so I probably won't have the time. Also I already covered in my guide how to deal with Superman, it's in the armor chapter. You can actually see some examples right here against my fight with Tazolad. I think Bugs is an easier matchup now that batarang doesn't immediately break. But most of the time after throwing and seeing them do a move that is capable of breaking the rang, just make sure it doesn't hit them. I do that quite often in this video against Jake too, swerving it away once he goes into boathouse
@@MadJuice has been using the same perks or sometimes replace fire perk for 3x jump, but man... those jake fights.. i learned not to be over them to much to down spike or even under to much.. cause skateboard > uppercut 80% of the time, even the house is kinda weird, sometimes the Batarang works, or most of the time like 72% of the time it deflects. kinda hard, placed 2nd on my CMG lol, hoping to place first next time
Congrats and awesome video. Love the raw gameplay. Question. One move I see a lot of batman players use a lot for combos is side attack(grounded), but it doesn’t look like you use that move much at all. In my experience it catches a lot of people and always leads to uppercut. What are your thoughts on that move? Worth using a lot?
I know your asking mad jew but i noticed he capitalizes on batmans mobility and elusiveness and ground side is too stationary thats why his preferred move is side air but honestly almost everything combos into up special
It leaves you too much in the open. I've noticed that after using it I tend to get punished for it. It's not worth it because it has a slow startup time and slow recovery compared to his fair.
Wait what perks do you use? I follow your exact play style down to the finest detail (and I’m a controller player) but sometimes I don’t get the same results and I’m stuck in the top 2,000. But not only the perks, do you have any advice for the Batman mains? Or just make a video on it in general?

@@MadJuice You sound pretty uninformed. We are making incremental changes because batman is in a good state, but needs some minor tweaks. If you knew anything about early streetfighter and ryus hadouken, then you'd know one major nerf to batarang risks making it useless. Batman's kit heavily relies on batarang. We are making tweaks to batarang and then doing a more complete overhaul as other characters are played more frequently and perform better in tournament. As a dev with 20 years + playtest, smash tourney exp, and as a pro gamer, I can tell this guy has little to no experience designing or balancing pvp elements in an esports environment. -Advisor to P1G
@@warfighterarmy I'm not talking solely about the batarang. I feel like tons of moves that are simply too good are being ignored. For example Jake's dair dealing 22 damage by itself is absurd to me, because it's a move which is easily spammable, a constantly active hitbox, escapable via dodging and also so much knockback to kill the lighter characters at 100 because it brings their damage all the way to 122 and then he gets launched. Or Bugs' dair whose hitbox comes from above, to the front downwards. Which is completely fine if the move had enough startup time, but it activates almost instantly. In the patch notes other Bugs moves were addressed except for the actual problem. And also only whiff recovery was changed, not startup time. Which I feel like is the problem with a lot of characters ingame. And I've heard about a change where a bit of batarang pick-up time is going to be traded for bomb armor piercing, which a lot of other Batman mains also aren't happy about. Because it simply does not sound like a good trade, since opponents can dodge a bomb with a timer on it unlike Harley's. I said that it felt like there's no correct buffs or nerfs because it always sounds like the actual problems are being ignored while other moves get buffed or nerfed for what seems to be no reason. Like Batman's jab getting extra whiff recovery which seems like it came out of nowhere. It was already a slower move from his kit, but I have practically stopped using it at this point with few exceptions. Wasn't solely talking about the batarang, because I know it was heavily overtuned. I appreciate the work you and the team put in. I used to get excited for patch notes like many others, but now it feels best to ignore them because it's not worth reading a lot of the time.
Great video as always… as a main Batman player myself, my play style is a little different than yours, I use quite often the grappling hook, but I never see you using it, already tried to find some explanation on your videos but never found any… what’s your opinion on the grappling ? You don’t like to use it, you think it is not efficient ? Sometimes I like using as a gap closer against characters that play well in distance
What the other guy said^, it used to be a huge glitch where you just died if you used it. But now I still don't use it because there's really no reason to. I might just as well approach with a forward air

@@MadJuice ah yes almost forgot ab that. Haven’t played with it yet. Is it a big difference? I main batman in 1vs1 atm. I use triple jump. Ice to beat you. And I’ll take that. But ik they got a nerf. Do you think I should still use that build?
@@brennen7690 I personally don't use triple jump because both of my uppercuts are already gone by the time I've used both jumps. But the other 2 are solid perks! And the rang pick up difference is definitely different, but it's not a bad nerf at all.
