Back in 1977, I left a bar or maybe a discotheque, pretty drunk. I woke up next morning in a bed somewhere on Pembina highway, (not my bed) completely naked, except for wearing women's suspenders and French style stockings. Lying next to me was some naked hairy 6 foot guy (snoring) I desperately got into what I hoped was my clothes. As I turned around to leave I saw my face in the mirror, I was wearing pink lipstick and mascara. Not to mention tiny bits of glitter all over my face. But worst of all, I couldn't help but noticed a large tube of K.Y gel on the side cabinet. I try not to think about that night to much.
@Keith Levit - The video of someone interviewing the Winnipeg Jets is from May 27, 1977 the day after the Winnipeg Jets lost 8-2 to the Quebec Nordiques in Game 7 of the Avaco Cup Finals. They made mention of the 12-3 game which was Game 6. Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson were interviewed, they were my fathers favorite players.
I was actually able to pinpoint where you were driving at 9:18 on St James. The new building you mentioned I believe is the present day location of Westward Parts.
@@terrywiebe5616 Oh Really? I can remember places like Dominion News, Mothers, various arcade hangouts, Roller skating rink, Imax, The Bay, Malabar, Cineplex Odeon, Restaurants, etc etc....
i would think this is about 1978, def not 80s, the trizec building wasnt there yet and that was 1979, Sounds like the jets lost the wha playoffs and it was 1979 when they won the last avco cup in 1979 and the end of the wha
superb video ! it is, however, from 1977. at 11min01sec the labbatt's brewery is shown. i wonder if that could be the one that was at broadway and memorial before the (current) great west life was installed(?)..
Amazing, real Canada right there. I hope it will come back one day. I stayed in Calgary, Winnipeg and Vancouver for a while and I loved it, but at the same time had a feeling, it is not what I'm talking about....damn.
Cool video! A nice time capsule of back in the day. What were the songs used? I couldn’t place them. Probably for the best, helps to avoid a copyright strike.
