Winter 2024 Amtrak and NJ Transit Railfanning on the Northeast Corridor

Made many small trips out to the corridor this winter in the rain, snow, and shine. Saw 642 leading the Pennysylvanian with 3 private cars as well as 3 work geeps towing a dead Keystone, and much more! Lots of snow action as well.

it's an 11 car Northeast Regional that runs sundays only that combines a Keystone and Carolinian consist (minus the baggage car)

Riding 196 PHL to NYC on 3/13. Fast train!!! This connects well with the Long Island railroad.

yep, it's guaranteed to be double-ended as well for fast turnaround times so you'll have plenty of power to meet that fast schedule

probably when the Duckcela enters service. They took 4 sets out of service during the pandemic and are being used for parts now so they don't even have enough equipment to run hourly regular Acelas.

@@nathanjiang100awesome catches, I saw 42 on January 1st at Paradise with the private cars, the silver one and the one with the observation platform are now at Reading & Northern as of now and they were dropped off during January
