Great video, brother. We use that technique down here on Sardis, Enid, and Grenada, too, mainly for crappie, but get an occasional largemouth from time to time
@arthouston7407 I have been wanting to get down to Grenada for a while. It has been quite a few years since I caught those giant crappie. We caught those white-colored catfish when we trolled crankbaits down there.
Glen springs is hard to fish sometimes mostly from all the years of fishing pressure and people keepin the big’ns instead of letting em go to grow, nice video tho bud, I fish heavily here locally but I’ve been after the crappie these past few years so I’ve invested in multiple batteries but rn I’m down to just two.
@memfisher6928 I went back a few days later and trolled again and caught a single crappie. It was giant (nearly 2 lbs.). I know Glen Springs must have some big ones in there. I have never been very good at finding big crappie. I am just now getting into crappie fishing. They are tough to find without some good electronics.
@greyhatchgamecock No, not that I am aware of. Someone used to place bright red stakes into some of the more troublesome stumps but it doesn't take long before someone knocks them off
