We found an old abandoned campground in the forest of the Upper Peninsula, Michigan. Weird noises, bones and just general creepy vibes while out in the forest Winter camping. This was a real boondocking and overlanding adventure
Winter Camping and Snow camping in our Nucamp Tag Teardrop trailer is fun, Hot Tenting in our Nortent and overlanding everywhere is our favorite way to camp, good campfire cooking, camp cooking meals, hiking, exploring and canoeing are all so much fun
Shoutout to one of our favorite channels ‪@TroutandCoffee‬ we were watching one of his recent masterpieces on winter camping while out camping! (that is what you see and hear on the projector)

Yeah take a look at Craig Lake state park, its a really cool canoe only area besides the yurts and cabins, we booked a early summer trip already to canoe there for a few days. McCormick wilderness is another one, super primitive backcountry stuff. A few nice options that are closer than BWCA

Did you sew that vent hole in your awning room? Our ARB room doesn’t have that.
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 5 месяцев назад
Yeah she sewed in some velcro and we attach a wood stove pipe jack in there, its a square fireproof thing that you can velcro in. I will post some pictures on facebook page and here when I get a chance, she still has to finish 2 side to the square for it to be fully finished. The stove pipe jacks are on amazon fairly cheap

You guys have an awesome setup and I am sure you have the setup time down to a science. Your outings appear to be weekend excursions during the winter months. My question is do you all feel like it is a lot of setup for short periods of time ? Have you ever considered going a tad bigger with some more convenience’s and less set up…..hot water maybe a bathroom. I was thinking like a boondock 400. Understandable you are younger than I (61), years ago we have enjoyed switching to less set up. lol…I counted the other day and we had 21 campers. Even a teardrop. Additionally I watch camp and camera 🎥 on RU-vid, I think I saw another camper in his fleet for the longer stays…..my guess only. Maybe the teardrop for short trips and rallies. Keep up the good work and maybe our happy trails will cross.

Thank you so much, we really appreciate the nice words and you stopping in. Yes we definitely have it down to a science, we have had the T@G for 4yrs now and it has over 100k miles, we are definitely weekend warriors with a few longer trips each year. We do go year round. From where we live it usually is a good 300-400 miles each way to where we love to camp, its rarely a shorter trip. So we are doing about 800- 1000 miles per weekend 2-3 times a month. Sometimes we add an extra day so maybe friday to monday vs friday to sunday. Leaving around Noon on Friday (she works nights at the hospital) eats up most of that day, so to answer your question yes we definitely feel run down or tired BUT we seem to recover quick and rally. We reflect back and always love the trip, I just always want another day or so to explore more, it can be taxing running around, filming etc Sometimes its nice to sit around camp a little more. We are nearing 50 so I am sure we may want to go bigger one day but I cannot see that in the near future. We are just having a blast and part of what makes it a bit easier is the T@G just rolls in and out of the garage so that helps with prepping and being always ready to go. It's really nice to have 4-5 days at a spot its just hard to be able to do that all the time. She will boil the water when its warmer to wash dishes etc, bathroom is pretty good for us with our luggable loo and portable tent for it. We really have mastered and dialed in our setup and find we require less modern conveniences which is nice. Sorry for the long reply, feel free to message us on our Facebook page or Instagram if you have more questions, the Tab400 is definitely nice yes still smaller than most, I could see us in something like that maybe in 10yrs who knows. Safe travels and yes we love to cross paths and meet everyone we can.

I watch your videos because you’re local to me and also I admire your attitude to camping, lastly I pickup the odd tip every now and again, in this video the use of the upside down pan to create a hotplate was genius! Was the upside pan just a regular cast iron pan? Fantastic camp hack!
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 4 месяца назад
it was kind of a spur of the moment thought and it did work pretty good, its an old steel pan we found at an antique store. I will send you a pic later today when I get to camp
