Discover the beauty and majesty of the Lake District as @ADVENTUREISMADE and I embark on a thrilling adventure to conquer the Summit of Pillar. With a peak of 892m, this challenging 4-hour hike was not for the faint of heart. But with our determination and love for the great outdoors, we pushed ourselves to brave the steep vertical ascent, despite the windchills plummeting to -8c and the mercury dropping to -3c.
As night fell, we huddled in our tents, conserving heat and energy, and wondering if our efforts would be in vain. But as the first rays of the morning sun hit the horizon, we knew that our journey was not for naught. The frosty terrain and patches of snow were illuminated by the stunning sunrise, and the sea to our West seemed to stretch out before us in all its glory. It was almost too much to take in, but we basked in the moment, grateful for the experience.
Join us on this epic journey of wild camping, breathtaking views, and thrilling challenges, as we discover the beauty of the Lake District and feed our souls with the majesty of nature.
Until the next one you LEDGELORDS...
GET OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN!

"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilization, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints. To hold a pack on your back against a gale out of the freezing north is no high industry; but it is one that serves to compose and occupy the mind: for when the present is so exacting who can annoy himself about the future..." R. L. Stevenson. What a great, beautiful, sublime adventure and sunrise, pal.

@@EzeAdventurer It's a wonderful quote from one of his best works of art that is literature. You'd enjoy it, any keen adventurer would. Travels With a Donkey in the Cevennes, by Robert Louis Stevenson. I know it by heart. For it is the book that sent this big mad Irishman off on his own adventures over 30 years ago ha. Spring is coming, and it's time to get lost there again ;)

I enjoy the videos of The Lake District. Beautiful. I had to chuckle when you talked about -8 being cold. I just watched a video by Lost Lakes who spent 4 days camping in Northern Ontario in temps from -30 to -40. BBBrrrrrrrrr

That looked a very cold one. The Cloud-up 2 tent surprised me in those conditions, reckon that is the best value back-packing tent on the market, probably around a quarter of the price of a MSR with the same stats, impressive. Another cracking adventure, really enjoyed it............ATB.............Stu....👌👍.
