Hey there, I'm Eze (short for Ezequiel) and welcome to the channel!
This channel is all about adventure and exploring the great outdoors. I love pushing beyond the comfort zone, from navigating untamed terrains to treacherous rapids, to accessing places very few people have ever seen.
Each adventure is an opportunity to disconnect from modern civilisation and go off the grid. As well as a chance to continue developing the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate these untamed terrains with confidence.
But it's not just about the adrenaline rush. It's also about finding peace and tranquility in nature. There is nothing like the feeling of setting up camp in a remote location. Whether canoeing, fishing, hiking or camping, I am always reminded of the power and beauty of nature.
So if you're looking for excitement, adventure, and a chance to reconnect with nature, then you've come to the right place. Subscribe to my channel now and let's explore the great outdoors together!
You shall become an honorary yukoner. You’ve done a beautiful job of making our territory so cinematic. Thanks for coming up and making this, then sharing it. Great job!
I am glad your barrel stayed dry did you have dry bags inside those blue barrels dont always keep the water out but it looked pritty new. Nice change to see someone paddling in winter on the wye and over comming adversity
Thanks for taking this risk for your viewers pleasure. I’m glad you had your wits about you to figure your way out of all the difficulties you were faced with during your trip.
Thank you! You got some cool fishing videos , beautiful trout. Need to visit cordoba ! Route is lago puelo, lago inferior, up río ventisquero back on Rio puelo, across Tagua Tagua and onto the sea. Beware rapids can be very dangerous. Class 5 canyon needs to be avoided, a class 3 canyon needs to be portaged. You need to research in detail
@@EzeAdventurer Excellent, thank you very much for answering, I will analyze your route in detail, I will wait for you in Córdoba whenever you want. greetings
Simply stunning! One of your best videos yet mate! You should really do a Q and A session, as I have *so* many questions about the logistics of organising such an adventure! You are simply an inspiration. You cope with incredible hardships with humour whilst recognising that you put yourself in them! And your attitude to risk management is simply impeccable. Simply brilliant.
Wow thank you!, amazingly kind and encouraging words, which are deeply appreciated! That's a good idea re the Q&A I may do one of those sometime in the future!
I've watched every video you've made and this is the best series so far. I'm not kidding, I can't think of any outdoor films the BBC have made that are as good as what you've done all by yourself. The scenery, the journey, the craft, the vicarious thrills... it's a privilege to follow your adventures and your commitment to storytelling and film-making.
Just came across your channel and this 3 part series of the Big Salmon. Definitely the best coverage of this trip I have come across so far. Excellent preparation as I am planning to do this next year. Thank you very much for sharing and looking forward to watch your other videos and adventures!
Wow man, rarely do I ever dream of leaving Canada to go on an adventure, but this got me. Maybe I'll ride a fat bike to Patagonia like Iohan did after all.
Great video man! Superb editing too, felt like i was there with you. You definitely had more water on that second stretch of rio puelo than us, just goes to show how water levels change all the time.
Thanks for the inspiration buddy! Your video really kickstarted this adventure!! Aaah I had a feeling the water levels were definitely on the beefy side… damn! 😂 Yep… same river and very different conditions are possible! Hope you get onto a cool adventure sooon Jan. All the best brother
Top respect for not only recognising that you were out of your comfort zone but putting that on camera, not many would. A trip like this may have really been better with another person, it mitigates the risk and lessens the work load on mind and body. If I could afford it you'd have a partner in crime right here, I like your ethos. It's a shame you couldn't make Loch Shiel a couple of years ago, I think we'd have gotten along well.
Aaah buddy thank you I appreciate it!! Yeah definitely have nothing to hide, on the contrary, I want to show the real side of adventuring and the true costs associated… it’s not all unicorns 🦄 and rainbows 🌈 😂. Would have loved to have done that loch shiel circuit … and yeah would have been a good bonding opportunity too mate. Yeah another buddy on this one would have helped but you need someone who can handle it too otherwise in some ways it actually makes it MORE dangerous you know? Also I’ve had a few times in the past where I “relax” too much… “he’ll know the way, I don’t need to check the map now” etc etc
Mate this series was awesome! A real adventure 👌🏻 loved every minute of it. Such a beautiful part of the world. Would love to experience it one day. Speak soon 😀👍🏻
Absolutely stunning buddy, your respect for nature & the environment is a true inspiration. What a trip ! I have so much love & respect for your adventures. You had me a bit worried on the last day, but handled it perfectly. 🙏😉👍🤗❤️
It's that simple really leave no trace. I'm planning on camping here soon I can reassure you I'll always leave somewhere how I found it. Great work buddy 👏👏
Thanks matey definitely was a one of the most “shit got real” moments of my adventures ever… things can turn quickly , and a panic reaction can really set the whole thing off into a total catastrophe !
I think I had that section mentally noted as something easy.. having focused so much on the class 5 canyon and class 3 canyons earlier on the trip… and the rainfall the night before clearly made it all much beefier, so I let my guard down… maybe being so close to the end too… a combination of things but lessons learnt! Running the wrong line was just stupidity, I lost orientation from scouting to making it back to my packraft
@@EzeAdventurer Glad you made it through unscathed. We only learn when we make mistakes. Looking forward to the Movie version of this one :) Stay safe brother.
Awesome series!! An amazing adventure and you captured the action, peace, resilience and beauty so well. Some risky rapids but you pulled it off keeping a clear head. The whole journey has been inspiring. Camt wait to see where you end up mext time. Paul
What an amazing adventure Eze definitely one of your best to date the adrenalin must have been pumping in them rapids but you managed to get through it and complete your journey well done mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Thanks Jimmy ! Yes the adrenaline dose on this trip was more than I had bargained for !!! Thanks matey hope hands recovering well . Eat leafy greens like kale and spinach, broccoli to boost antiinflamatories
I think you are amazing and so brave when you get into difficult situations - you take the time to level your head and think things through. Congratulations
Thank you so much, that’s very kind! Yes super important to stay level headed, it’s often the reaction to a situation itself that mostly determines the outcome 💪. But I was spared by Patagonia on this one… she could have gone even harder on me … pheww
We are LOVING your channel! We found you recently and have been bingeing through your videos. Really, top notch. This series promises to be epic! Thanks for sharing!
Had us worried there for a second buddy, congrats on pushing through. Sometimes you gotta go where the water takes you, but you mastered what she threw at you. Safe journey mate.
Wow eze what an end to an amazing adventure. My heart was in my mouth when you got into trouble on those rapids, you did so well not to panic and re group and figure out the way to move forward. You deserve so many more subscribers your content and the way you conduct your self is admirable. Stay safe as always Maxx
Thanks Maxx!! Very generous words as always, i really appreciate them 😃. I was able to keep relatively cool, but Patagonia definitely spared me..I feel it could have very easily gone worse.. will need to upgrade risk management and mitigation skills for sure 💪
Definitely, I should have applied a bit more care on this last section. I think the rain overnight really transformed that section of the river and so it caught me by surprise, as it didn't correlate at all to my river notes... lesson learnt!
Another great film, the Rio Carrileufu looks amazing for fly fishing. I hope to return to Patagonia next year with the packraft and I might check it out.
We all live and learn, hopefully live. It's part of maturing and growing. It was a sign of compassion, your admitting to your overstepping. Your family must be very proud of you.
Hopefully live! yes lol. Yeah definitely my biggest stress in that situation was..."hmmm... this is unacceptable risk given I have a family that depend on me.." Being a parent takes on a whole different magnitude of responsibility and how you see things... I'll still continue adventuring, it's in my blood, but I need to up my game in risk mitigation a bit...!
