Winter Garden Prep Zone 6b!Fall Cleanup, Protecting Young Trees, Conifers and More! //FlowerFanatic 

Hey Guys! It's time to Get my garden ready for winter. In this Video I will highlight what I do in my own garden, and recommend a few things many people don't think of doing in their own gardens. I have deer, so I need to protect a few conifers during winter and early spring. I planted A lot of Deciduous Trees this year that need to be wrapped at their base to prevent winter sun-scald while they are Young. I will focus on what's most important and what's not so important. As far as Pruning goes I typically Prune my shrubs that bloom on new wood in early spring (Roses, Paninculata hydrangeas, etc) and shrubs that bloom on Old Wood right after they are done blooming (Lilacs, Magnolias, ect).
