Flowers and Gardening are my passion. I’m hoping that I can share with you what I am learning and help you avoid the mistakes I have made. I’m trying to keep it real, and offer information that is applicable to anyone! My first plant I bought died because I didn’t realize that annuals died in the winter haha. I’ve come along way and even completed my Mater Gardener Certification. Thanks for joining me on my journey. My yard still has a long ways to go 👍🏻 and the transformation is so much fun.

This video is a godsend because I have the same issue with periwinkle and it is starting to invade my neighbors yard! I was told to HAND PULL!! That is impossible. glad I found this video.
Your penstemon looks spectacular, you have magic thumbs! I just brought home my Red Riding Hood today in 4" pot and NO flower yet (still a baby from local nursery). Will plant it soon, I hope it will be as gorgeous as yours 🌺
Thank you for your video, I’m having the very same issue!! !I just don’t see any slimy residue on them, I think it’s ??? We don’t have grasshoppers, not sure about earwigs? What ever it is they are destroying my dahlias and eating my hydrangeas
They haven’t touched mine, but In really heavy deer country when they are starving they have eaten yew. But they recover. Overall they tend to avoid the yew over here. I haven’t seen them eat a tri color yet 👍
It can take awhile. Climates are different and often they have a mind of there own, but in my climate it takes around 4-5. It takes patience, but the foliage is nice. It’s a slow grower in the beginning
I gotta ask do the bottom blooms stay beautifully frilly while the top ones grow mine looks like the ones you showed as an example as it just started to bloom but the blooms are tiny I’m not sure how it’ll shoot up to look this tall and grill + more blooms how is that possible 😮
I love this! What kind of fertiliser did you give ? I grew stock flowers this year and mine look a little bit like dry buds and so small I’m wondering how they’ll turn so big like that!
I have a video coming soon…the buds look tiny at first. I use fish emulsion and seaweed extract in a backpack sprayer. I dilute it a bit, and just saturate the plants.
I scattered a bunch of red spike seeds in one of my raised beds and I have some seedlings that look like they could be red spike or could be some type of weed. My amaranth are green though, is that normal to start? When do they usually turn red?
Good job not messing around and going at it with the right stuff (Glyphosate). I'm learning more and more for perennial weeds the time to spray is late summer/early fall cuz they suck up energy into their root systems for winter. Annual weeds - Spring. After my sweet woodruff digging - I'll be hitting any resprouting. God I wish I never planted that. 1-3 plants turned into hell. Next up is Vinca Minor coming over from my neighbor. Still formulating a plan for it. Invading my native woodland.
Do deer stay away from Wavy Leaf Ligustrums, Gardenias or Wax Myrtles? I’m thinking I might need to do Laurels for hedges but I would like a beautiful flowering option!
Love the combo of heuchera & geum! Need to get my hands on that apricot colour, I have red geum at the moment but that one you have is stunning. And I wish I could plant black mondo grass but my zone probably won’t work for that beauty. Thanks for sharing 👩🏽🌾🌼
Thanks for the video! I just got a 'Little Kim' lilac and will try it in a container in a location that only gets maybe 5-6 hours sun and then afternoon shade. I'm wondering if they like a neutral Ph around 7 or more alkaline than that?
Be great if you summarized at the end with the names of the plants or use the name of the plant more often-I had to go back and start the video a couple of times to get the name
I love how you talk about dividing plants. I’ve divided lots because of your videos. I’m starting fresh with a lot of my beds and it’s so encouraging to be able to spread things further. Once they start filling in it’s extra rewarding!!
