My Christmas video. Ever gone out in the cold when you're not well? Kill or Cure - we nearly missed out on a glorious afternoon with golden light and soft snow. And a few impertinent sheep
'Tis a mere sniffle! Northern lassies are made of stern stuff, eh Sue! There's something earthy about a monochrome landscape and Dave's philosophical commentary was the perfect accompaniment. And then it all went rather silly 🥳🥳but hey, the fresh air and the views clearly had a restorative effect 😃 Super video you two 😁Have a lovely Christmas and New Year and all being well we'll meet up before March 🤗🤗Ian and Meg 🐶
Hey Ian. Your comments always make me smile 😃 Dave is a bit tiddly at the moment. He’s just worked his last shift ever & yours truly went to pick him up at the pub 😂 We’ll be seeing you very soon in the new year. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Christmas ❤️
@@IanTupmanOutdoors I wanted to pin this one but it seems I can only pin the original comment. I loved Dave’s commentary on this but the sheep got the better of me at the end 😂
Wow carol singing and a big smile 😊 (definitely what the doctor ordered this ) wonderful snow covered landscape & views good enough to drive away the worst cold (Your right about enjoying what’s on your doorstep 🙏🏼) Sue Dave have a great Christmas 🎄 All the very best Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Hey, Sue the transformative qualities of the great outdoors in winter. It can't be refuted now eh? This was a deep dive into the beauty of the hills and valleys there. Fantastic to see all the features pronounced but even better to see you guys come alive. Good going. Happy new year and all the very best for 2024. Mark
Thanks for sharing, I failed to get out in the snow. Swaledale has to be in my top 3 valleys in the UK. First took my wife there not long after we met, 3 years later had our honeymoon at The Bridge Inn at Grinton. Went back for 5th aniversary but previous owners Trevor & Margaret had left. Always wondered what it would like on Fremington Edge.
Thanks Duncan. The Bridge is our pub of choice! The beer is superb and the landlord is a good bloke. I used to know someone with your surname many years ago (I lived in Glaisdale). Where do you live, if you don’t mind me asking?
Hi Sue & Dave, I’m afraid I didn’t have the best experience of Swaledale on my C2C. 22 miles from Keld to Richmond in the rain with sickness and worse. Yuk! If I do it again I shall do the high route through the old mines. Happy New Year 🍺 PS - Matt Smith.
Hi Justin! That’s a real shame… but sure you’ll enjoy the mine workings.. I’ll do a sun dance for ya 😊 And thanks for your Doctor Who feedback too. I did love Amy Pond & the Weeping Angels!!
I saw a few yellow painted old bikes along Swaledale from the TdF. It's a beautiful valley but I was in a bad way. Had a break at the little cafe in Reeth by the green. Hot sausage roll and tea and fell asleep in the shop! The lady took pity on me and filled my water bottles. ♥ I took the next day off but still managed to finish the C2C. Returned to Richmond the following year and made another video, a super little town with bags of interest. 👍
Really enjoyed the whole video, Sue. The scenery was great, nice photos and video coverage of a lovely place. Don’t give up with the singing, it should improve?? 😖
