I’m going to repeat what others have said…please don’t worry about when you post! We will watch whenever you are able to post, no worries! I could go on and on about your collections but I’ll simply say they are stunning! I have major tree and snowflake envy, and would have been brought to tears had I broken that beautiful tree! The addition of the little crystal pieces with the white in the mirror shadow box was wonderful, it really added to the theme. I do winter decor too, and so appreciate the work you two put in. I’m very glad you didn’t skip this in leu of valentines. ❄️🇨🇦❄️

Oh Peg and Norman you did it again, another beautiful hometour! Don't apologize for being late or slow, I don't see it that way. You have a very soothing voice and explaining everything is so calming and educational. It's such a joy to see unusual things I don't see in my area. I don't see how you both do this kind of video because you have a lot of items to show and I love it that way. I have not paid much attention to candy dishes especially the clear ones until I have seen yours and now I live seeing them especially the ones with feet. Thank you so much for showing your collections. I hope you both continue to have good health and a milder winter season. TFS

Nice and relaxing to watch and listen to your video. We collect many of the same things that I use them in my decor. I never thought about using my lucite snowflakes in January. I sometimes use them at Christmas. Nor have I thought of crystal vases and dishes . I usually keep some things from Christmas like my lucite and clear crystal trees along with green trees, lucite deer, white deer and brass deer. I just got a renewed interest in brass. Have always loved copper but not this time of year copper goes nice in the fall. By accident along time ago I found two lucite candles with copper flakes. Then by watching your videos when I saw two lucite silver flake ones in the original holder I snapped them up for $1.00 each at a thrift store. I thrift most everything or have had items for a long time or been gifted them. I use a lot of snowmen and winter art for the walls. I’m not a retro collector per say but will use that era in decorating if I like it. I never did this kind of stuff when I worked, I didn’t have time to think about decorating too much. Although we were collectors of different things. It’s fun to get new ideas and I’ve learned a lot from watching face book. I would be happy to share some of my pictures with you but can’t on u tube. If you are interested you can let me know. Wow this got long. Sorry. But I love your programs.

Just beautiful Peggy and Norm! We do a winter theme in January also. A Game of Thrones type thing! Going through my Mardi Gras and Valentine decor. Going to pair down quite a bit. I’ll see if our daughter wants some of it. What she doesn’t want, I’ll just donate or try to sell a bit on Marketplace.

A very creative use for those jewelry trees! Using those decorative ball hangers to connect those pieces to make a garland was another great idea and so pretty!! Go easy on describing January 1953 as extremely old! 😂. Would imagine you have a lot of subscribers that are baby boomers and those years roll around so quickly.😊. I love that deer print, so sweet.😮. Peggy, you tell those stories as many times as you want because chances are a lot of us have forgotten…makes for a great friendship.😅 (And you forgot to tell the story!😂). Looks great!!
@Crazy4Retro
@Crazy4Retro 9 месяцев назад
Hi Diane👋 Thanks so much for watching and writing to me with your fun message!💕 You're right about 1953 and our viewers! They are mostly seniors watching. Guess I got carried away saying, "old." Norm and I are old. I don't know if you have caught our ages yet? I was born in 1949 and Norm in 1947. I can't believe that next month I'm turning 75! 😳 My mind thinks younger, but my body is weaker every year. I tried holding my phone for over an hour making this video, and my left thumb and wrist were very painful the next day. It still hurts. Norm keeps telling me to give up my channel because I have a lot of chronic joint pain, a lot more than 3 years ago. Unfortunately, Norm has been in pain since last March from colon surgery, and this fall, he developed a hernia that is hurting all the time. The Dr is trying to get him to avoid surgery again too soon. He's uncomfortable and not as excited about helping me by lifting and reaching.🫤 He really wants to help, though. So many youtubers I've watched talk about their illnesses and health problems, but I feel guilty admitting our problems and causing a downer vibe. I think of all the health problems that our viewers are most likely experiencing, and I also think I'd be inviting lots of help suggestions coming in comments. You wouldn't believe how many expensive natural anti-inflammatory and joint supplements I take every day.🙄 Unfortunately, I've been limping with bad heel pain for six months, too, and I don't get much done anymore.😞 You're such a great supportive gal, and I appreciate all your nice messages. So forgive me for being very honest about Norm and I being old and in a lot of pain. I know you know we're doing our best. We do feel very appreciated. Most people are so kind. Hope you have a blessed day.💕🤗

@@Crazy4Retro Oh, Peggy, if I could only turn back time or be a fixer, I would fix what hurts everywhere. When I was little, I prayed for the gift of healing and would see someone in a wheelchair and somehow manage to touch them and say a silent prayer. Still waiting for that gift, evidently. You have so many great collections and you and Norm are so gifted in displaying and videoing. You all would be so missed but the amount of work you all do overwhelms me. I am praying for you both! Thank you for feeling comfortable enough with me to share that and you do not need to apologize.

Vinegar will clear glass and crystal❤
@Crazy4Retro
@Crazy4Retro 9 месяцев назад
Hi Etta! Thanks so much for watching our videos and writing to me. I agree about vinegar and do use it often when I can see there is white calcium type deposits in the item, but what I meant here about some of the pressed glass pieces is that they are often made with poorer quality glass and they will have a slight tinge of yellow or something because of the minerals in the glass, so it's not possible to make them as clear as lead crystal glass. That large covered dish I was speaking of is just tinted slightly. It's OK if you put the same type of glass pieces together. We hope you have a blessed week ahead.❤️
