Very cool 😊 Hot tenting equipment and toboggan are the only things I haven't included in/with my pack. I figure I can scavenge up something with things around me for transport in snow conditions if it comes down to it and my supplies include below zero F° equipment. I have everything else, including a fold up all terrain way to tote it all in warm weather, if needed. I keep it all with me at all times. Which is why I don't have the toboggan, no room. Cause where I go, my supplies go! Ya never know when it'll all be needed 😉 Thanks for the great trip my brother 🎿⛺❄️ Stay loose!

Excellent video. I was covered in snow after you took us through the snow covered brush😰 The snow clearing for the tent placement burned a lot of calories for sure. Loved the hot tent set up. The dome setup certainly has it's advantages if weight is less of a concern, like it wouldn't usually be on a sled. I recently got a Gamme 6 from Nortent which is my first hot tent. Will certainly move on with getting a small tipi and tarp with stove jack for backpacking, though. Pomoly has a few of those options as well, I see.

Hi Jess .. 👍👍👍 .. another good one. Weather looks ideal for a hot tent .. sandy dry snow. Quite 'balmy' here in Switzerland. Snow gone, temps varying between 3 and 8°C, with intermittent rain .. ideal 'sneak up on you' hypothermia conditions. Nice tent and stove .. thanks for sharing. Take care .. Tommy

Greetings- Nice set up and that is a real cool Yukon type stove. Ive used the Ahkio sleds years ago while stationed in Alaska and we used to pack the sled with the tent, stove, pipes, ect.... and they would glide with ease. Very good craft skills as with all your vids. No need to worry about the Black Flys this time of year, as they will be back buzzing around by early summer. Thanks for the vid- You and yours be good-

That is an awesome setup Jess. I've go the timber stove and after using this past november I'll never go back to winter cold camping lol.I've used it in a tipi but that dome looks perfect. Nate

Initially, I was perplexed about the stove funnel being at the entrance to the tent, but I figured it as the vid progressed. Some guy said, "In bushcraft, we make things," and I liked your spatula. The bread I'll try for sure.. I will figure out the ratios. BTW, some shorts on my knife are up on my new channel. If you can, please check it out. Hi Jess, great to see you do a hot tent camp. I like the new Pomoly tent. Probably a lot less expensive than those Nortent ones , got a nose bleed when I saw the prices! I have the Pomoly Hex, I think it's the 2-3 or 3-4 person, don't remember. Didn't come with a manual. Would like to get one of the Pomoly stoves someday. Couldn't afford it. I have a Kni-co Trekker stove, but I think it might be too big for my tent. The cheese steak looked great!

Yeah, never leave a tent in a forest over a weekend. Unless it's true wilderness. Some dead man stole my 3 tarp canvas hot tent. Now I have to car camp again. It was not so epic anyway. You need to wake up every hour or two and it's either a sauna or you are freezing. Car is good. Van would be better. I use 10 gallon can of hot water under couple of blankets and if I insulate it just right it keeps me warm the whole night even at -12°C and it can be still hot the next evening. The HDPE plastic has a smell to it tho. I want to switch to 20 liter steel jerrycan. I could use fire or induction heater (free electricity on construction sites) But yeah

When it gets windy do you have to tie down the stove's smoke pipe? How does this work?
