Sounds like a nice camp out with Tim and Angel food looked delicious, OMG the story you told us about your mom and the teacher was hilarious good for her i'd have done the same thing. OMG what an awesome Haggis Recipe. looked heavenly. Thanks for bringing us along looked fun.
If you don’t eat your meat, you can’t have any pudding! Loved this one - good stories and lots of laughs. I’ll forever feel bad about Tim’s axe haha So great to see the spatula getting good use, I hope it’s holding up well for you!
I put coffee creamer powder in my dehyrated pasta thinking it was powdered milk. And, to this day, i feel like throwing up everytime of think of it. Lol
Kevin we got MAYBE 1 1/2" of snow in Minneapolis MN and they are forecasting 50 next week. I have not even shoveled the driveway let alone thought about getting snowshoes or ski out this year.
Don't feel bad about the coffee creamer. I know someone who tried to make pancakes with powdered milk. I still bust a gut when I think about it. Great video Kevin.
Cut the turnip in half at home, then you have a safe, stable way to cut it up while in camp! always a chuckle watching these videos! You may be on to something.... coffee creamer in your fish crisp next?!?!?!?
Poor Tim. He's gonna quit bringing you and your friends camping. First Evan breaks his axe and now you with the knife in the pot..... as Tim slowly growls. LOL!
Speaking of lamb. I drove by this farm with my grandkids and they had lambs. We slowed down they oood and ahhd and a week later there is a sign and no lambs in sight. I did not read it out loud.
Glad Tim liked the potato with green onion. In parts of Ireland we mix green onion (we call it scallions) with mashed potato. It's called champ and is delicious.
I was hoping to do the first pemmican on youtube but Jim Baird beat me to it. Now Kevin has scored a first on haggis! However, there's more to this haggis business and I might still have a chance. The way I did a camping-haggis in the pre youtube era was boil in the plastic-turkey-bag. It's absolutely true that boiling is the traditional method of cooking, so that's non-negotiable. Secondly, there's the matter of assembling the haggis on site versus store-bought. So I think my game plan now is to upgrade the turkey bag to something more, uh, organic, and see if I can't score the first home-made winter camping haggis of the modern era.
