We will hike along the Falls Trail and explore the Glens Natural Area, a designated National Natural Landmark. The trail system boasts dozens of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn cliffs in this ancient hillside. Many of the waterfalls and streams freeze, as do the walls of the cliffs and the banks of the trail, creating glistening ice formations and an awe inspiring experience. Ganoga Falls, the tallest waterfall, is 94 ft. and when it freezes you’ll find yourself in an amphitheater of icicles-truly an awe inspiring experience.
Important! Park is closed for winter
Due to ice and hazardous conditions, all except ice climbers and experienced hikers with the proper gear. This gear must include crampons(not micro spikes), an ice axe, and rope. Everyone must register with the park office. If you are entering the trail from the Glens parking lot on Route 118 you can call the office at 570-477-5675. We will need to know your name, number in your party, vehicle description, and an emergency contact number.
(Winter months) Don’t not attempt the trail with out proper gear it is extremely dangerous and will get fine
