I missed this one for some reason Terry, been busy myself with one thing and another. Fish look great and have certainly grown since last winter and I love the little Shusui, that should be impressive when it gets some size. The pond definitely looks much better for less stocking. As a Yorkie living in Lincolnshire I love the way you "yellow bellies" clen everything instead of clean, quite a few subtle differences in the accent 😂. Hello mate, I was wondering where you were. I must admit, the pond is a lot easier to look after now. The little Shusui is growing already, the pond temp holding 16c is helping I must admit. I've got my covers on now and I hate it. I have to lift one if I want to see the koi. Roll on spring lol. I hope all's well with you and your family. I'm still waiting for my 3rd jab. Cracking video as always mate , polycarbonate prices have gone through the roof mate your probably better off waiting , hate putting the covers on but I’ve got 2 out of three on and the heat pump is coming on half as much as it was so I’ll hold off on the last one for now . glad the wife is ok , nice little addition, lovely balanced pattern , stay safe mate 😀😀👍👍

Once again it's winter prep time for most of us, I myself have got everything just about ready for winter, a few tweaks here & there to make the koi a bit safer, but I was just thinking how I love when you use your underwater submarine that you got for a gift a couple years back, to try and get a picture of your new baby koi... Glad to see you back Terry. I was starting to wonder if you had done everything you could with your pond. Not so sure I would put a bakki shower right next to the pond, it might distract from the natural look it has. Perhaps if you can hide it somewhere behind plants or something and let the water outlet go through a pipe rather than a waterfall?

I've got a love/hate thing for budlia bushes, so unruly, got one at bottom of garden, hack it back every year and it comes back stronger, next door got one as well hanging over my fence. Shusui will do well in that heated water Terry,, holding mine at 17deg, warming up this week, so covers on week after maybe, if it goes cold ❄.

Got a solution for you Terry dig an extension to the pond into the shed at the bottom of the garden leave half dry so you can work in there the other half then can hold the shower filter and if the fish are so inclined the can swim into the shed you can inspect, feed etc. Not sure how viable it is but looks cool in my head.

Hi Terry, sorry to hear about your wife's little accident and hope she's ok. I do hope the person in the wrong was insured! With the Bakki Shower could you have it to the right of the big shed facing the house (not sure what's there) and instead of a tray at the bottom where it would flow out, you could perhaps pipe it along the fence and exit by/ with / next to the skimmer outlet? Probably will require another pump mind but that could easily be located inside the main shed. Just a thought. A Remote located Bakki Shower ! That's the title!! Haha 🤣

I have been giving some thought to having the shower stood back from the pond which would make life easier. The thing is it's a bit late to start now, so might make it my winter project for next spring. Remotely located Bakki Shower sounds good lol. From what I could see from the limited appearance on the video your new little shusui has a wonderfully balanced pattern and should be a real stunner as it gets larger. Hopefully the winter covers won't be needed for a little while longer but nice to know they're ready. Cheers.
Hi mate, the little koi has a really nice patterning and has the blue on the top both sides just like my original shusui. But it was a lot bigger. I can't wait for him to grow lol. Hi Terry sorry to hear Mrs Wright had an accident glad she's ok. Just covered my my and turned on the heater. What flow in litres do you have going through your heater an hour. ? Lovely little shusui you have, we too got one in March.
Hi Phil, I'm not sure what flow actually goes through my heater, as it's controlled with the bypass. But if you go in the top right hand corner of the main screen and touch it, it will take you to a screen with a graph. If you look in the right top of the screen you'll see the In and Out temp. The Out temp wants to be 2c more than the In temp. Make sure the heater has been running for a while so it's up to temp. The wife's ok now, just a bit shook up at first. Long time to go without a new fish Terry I think Its been about 3 years hear I did post a comment a day or two back but its RU-vid funny time and comments are going missing all over the place so for a second time have a good week
My problem was the 14 fry I grew from a spawning of one of my koi. It was fine for a start, but as always, they grew and made the pond crowded. This RU-vid problem is getting worse all the time. I haven't had a notifacion of a new RU-vid video release at all this year, and loads of comments I click on, just disappear. I also found RU-vid support are ruddy useless. 3 times I've tried to sort it out with them, but if the problem isn't in there script, they don't have a clue. Sorry about the rant mate lol, but it is frustrating. Take care, Terry.
Good to hear from you Terry. It's funny Shisui are one of my favourites too. I've got one but the red is lower on the body so more of the blue shows up. You one will soon settle in. Come the start of next season he'll be as if he has always been in your pond.

lovely new Koi Wrighty, you could always make a shower for me a smaller mini one and I could test it for you 😉 No joke I want one for my Pond again, as I had to send my last one back due to it failing and leaking but I can not find one the same size, But you could put one middle back area where you have taken the triffid out 👍👍

Hi mate, It would go above the bakki river, but it would mean having another pond pump to get the water high enough. I would also have to upgrade my main pond pump as I don't think I'd have enough flow coming in to the filter house to run all 4 filters. Moving bed, bakki river, up-flow filter and protein skimmer.
