Michael, you are awesome. Paint. You can do this! Paint with Arlo and it will be chaotic and messy and fun! I do my best work with my kids sometimes. They make mre more free to create and try things.
So much fun, love it! I don’t have this new pigment powder but I’m going to try this with very dilute colors and salt and see what happens. I remember a much older LMA salt painting called Into The Storm that I did when I very first started painting with Sarah and loved. It will be interesting to try this and compare to see how far I’ve come. Thanks!
But there are a number of species that exhibit "marcescence", (the retention of their leaves), to some degree through the winter months. That's what you may see when you walk through the forest in the winter. Beech trees and pin oak are common in the Midwest. The oak tree we had retained its leaves until Spring, until new growth pushed them out. Yes! In Missouri, too.
