Finally someone else who hates summer and loves cold weather!! My best friend who bushcrafts and backpacks with me loves summer and hates winter and I can't stand that!!! I live in Minnesota and love the cold weather. Keep preachin it!!
Quality gear ! Love the tarp &hope to get my own. Great video ! Dogs are the best " buddy heaters " ! Enjoyed the bow saw build. Looking forward to viewing your videos.
Great overnighter. Superb job on the saw, very well made. A can of Spam and some grits would be mighty tasty out there...especially for the pup 😎... Looking forward to your next episode. 👍🇺🇸
Good stuff man! What are your favorite socks for winter camping? The ones I had at the Basic Class in November weren't very good (my feet were the only thing cold at night).
I like Minus 33 Expedition socks, but they are VERY warm, but for the most part I just hav a pair of cheap boot socks that are thinner cause my feet sweat alot
What’s the brand of your anorak? I’m a new subscriber I follow Dave and Shawn and I do plan on taking the three pack bundle instructors survival courses and the intensive Navigation course and the Redcross remote wilderness first aid adult CPR AED as soon as I can get the scheduled time off from work that aligns with the course dates
@buckeyebushcraft thank you. I'm still a newb; it threw me off a little. I see that now. I'm a big fan of Dave C, so locked into his plowpoint mode. I like your Ridgeline connect point, so if swirling wind and rain, you can rotate the apex and base, coupled with dry floor sheet. I read some weather data, 10 yo, which showed driving rain came from NE only 6% of the time for Mo-KS region. So far, with compass worked for me. Same for Ohio?
@buckeyebushcraft After all these years, I'm enjoying outdoors. I'm 79yo. My son's were in scouts (eagle and life) but I had to work most of the time. Pity.
