I came up with the perfect nickname for you. FROSTBEARD! (A.k.a. Frostbeard The Great, Frostbeard The Badass, Frostbeard The Barbarian, Frostbeard The Frostbeard, etc.)
KIMBO 134: it was a budget challenge if he brought a Gransfors Bruk axe, a custom or a semi custom knife, ect... stuff just starts adding up in cost. So he was showing that you could also survive on a budget. Hope this helped.
Please give me some tips how to do to get all those equipments that you use to hunt turkeys groundhogs deer goose crows and more please let me know come to virginia and explore our forest
Bear Grylls is not a survival expert (at least not in his shows). He is just an ex-SAS doing stunts in the forest with the help of his crew.. His advice can get you killed in a real survival situation.
hey this is probably my second comment on youtube ever but i needed to say thank you for everything you have done for me as a 19 year old male youve opened my eyes to where i see my life heading and getting my sh*t together all my life ive been over weight and after watching and listening to you go out ,it sparked the fire in my soul to go out and change myself for the better i cant believe what ive started and how passionate ive be come im working towards my goals every day now im eating healthy, im getting into hunting here in Australia im about to go out and get my first bow and organise with my mate to go on a hunt with him . so the whole thing about this ramble is to say thank you for helping me see who i am on the inside

I find rules, especially arbitrary ones to suck. When I was deciding to do the challenge it was either my version, or none at all., so I decided to just do what I felt was going to be a fun way to spend the day rather than what I felt would be a waste. I recommend you take this as a life lesson. Don't do stuff that sucks just because someone else made up some stupid rules. Call it the $14 Canadian dollar store challenge with a gun if you one of those ardent rule followers - if it makes you feel any better.* *Also when leaving comments, just us the word A, to replace the actual word or it's going to end up in the comments to be reviewed. Also let's be clear that I don't mean you should be a complete A, but rather have an edge to keep things interesting with your partner. I thought that I did a decent job saying that, but some of the comments tell me otherwise.*
i found you on RU-vid recently and i really enjoyed watching you in surviving challenge since i really love doing my own survive challenge one day but i guess living in (IRAQ) is enough XD ... keep up the Good work and quality content
No need for you to spend the night out there, we know you could do it, might be a little tired cold and hungry in the morning, wouldn't prove much, going home to a nice warm house/bed/food and wife proves you're no dummy! ;)
I did this challenge in high school with a buddy. We ended up with just roasted squirrel for supper, sleeping in a cave the size of a closet and waking up not being able to feel our legs because we slept on a slope... Done alot of learning since then! Love the videos! Bless you, brother.
I know you made this for the guys but as a 64 Year old woman I just want to say...I stand up for men and applaud you for saying what needs to be said. Let men be men and women be women.. Tired of the feminist stepping all over men. 👏👏👏👏
You have you just didn't know because they didn't announce their age so you just assume everyone's younger. My aunt and uncle are in comments all the time all over YT and both are 80.
anna horton you are so right. Let a man be a man, and a women be a women. We both were created with qualities that should compliment one another. There is nothing wrong with a man being able to take care of things at home or a woman learning how to survive when she's alone. But it's always better when they can work together.
I really needed that advice. I just graduated and I realized I wasn’t taking enough, not just from my love life but life in general. When an opportunity presented its self I always would step aside for others because I thought it would benefit them more, but I see that I deserve to take advantage of all the opportunities that come my way. Thank you
Thanks for the insights. My wife and I are seniors now and fairly old. I grew up on the river, camping, hunting, etc. We’re putting together two bug-out bags and wanted you to consider doing a vid on bugging out and heading for the timber as seniors. Thanks again. Steven and Trish.
"Girls just want a guy with a backbone" True this, but; You don't have to be an a-hole to have a spine or edge. If you have passion for something other than her, and you stand up for the pursuit of it; and show the woman that your passion for her is as strong as your passion for the other thing, then you'll catch and keep her attention. That is plenty for a (emotionally) mature woman. If your woman wants to be abused or disrespected, then she has a mental or emotional deficiency and maybe you shouldn't be with her. YOU as a MAN have the choice to walk away from toxic women, just as women walk away from men we perceive as inadequate.
The Wooded Beardsman. Good challenge and even more so because you chose winter time. My take on the commentary. To the Gentleman who initially ask the question. You were given good advice in this video. But from a woman I'd like to add something. My dad used to tell the boys, "Be man to your fellow men. Be a man for your woman. Be able, Be strong of heart and mind. Treat others fairly because with fairness and honesty the strongest relationships are made." Now specifically in how to treat your woman. As with men, not all woman are the same except in our basic needs. All humans share the same basic needs. Food water shelter and companionship. But apart from those basic needs. We all differ in upbringing, attitude and emotional balance. Some woman need to take care of you. Some woman are happy taking care of themselves. Some woman have little need for a man but enjoy the relationship and working together. Some woman need a man because they need the emotional and physical (SECURITY) of a relationship. Before you ever start a relationship get to know the woman. Is she needy, emotional and demanding? (Run for the hills!) Is she strong independent and willing to work beside you everyday? (Jack pot)! Is she a domestic wife who prefers to stay home looking after the home front while you go out and work? (Good mom good wife). A (Man) has to first define himself before choosing a partner. Then he has to decide what he wants in a partner. Here's an anecdote for you. When I was dating. Being who I am. I would strive to show self sufficiency this turned some men off. If you fix a guys car for him. Chances are he'll run. Lol gosh I learned that early! If he doesn't run 50 percent chance he's not grown enough emotionally to be called a man. For the woman out there. If found the man. Stand with him. That means in everything. He goes to the woods go with him. Learn earn and love. A strong couple will survive any adversity. Well thanks for another great video The Wooded Beardsman!
Well said Marie. You added a lot more to the discussion and you are totally right. Men/boys need to decide who they are first, stick to it and find a partner that will compliment that. Too many men out there don't have anything else sorted out first and just hope for the best, but it doesn't work that way. Marie, you are welcome to fix my car anytime you want LOL. I'm just as happy to let be some of the responsibilities that comes with life and let go, but I certainly won't accept any grief for doing so! I've come to terms with the fact that my wife will insist that I'm only doing dishes for one reason, but now I put an end to it by reminder her that she's getting close to losing out on some free dish washing, and that I'll still get what I need later in the bedroom LOL Works every time :)
The Wooded Beardsman. Hey washing dishes is a nice thing you do for her. But there's benefits for you. First you get the heat from the water. (Helps with pain relief). Anyone who works outdoors will tell you. Soar hands suck. Second, it helps control soiled hands. Third, you increase your odds of her not having a headache. Sounds like a win win to me!
LOL, well that and I actually enjoy washing the dishes which is why I do it to begin with! But she thinks I do it for other reasons.... because well, she has a dirtier mind than me LMAO!!! That kind of reasoning, boys, is what you get with a bit of life experience :) How else did she know what I was thinking unless she thought of it first! Time to pounce :)
Its pink on the outside because you did a good job smoking it. That pinkness on the outside is what you call a smoke ring. Almost any meat with a nice smoke will taste good, cooked well but still moist.
i'm an EMT working on a ambulance during this COVID crap. I came across puddle lake 0n a whim, ive watched all of your footage...literally all of them. Ive never commented, but if my 24 year daughter and mother of my grandson was ever treated as you described, that boy would be on the menu way before a grouse.
If you can find a nice abrasive flat rock, you can rub and essentially file away the edge of the can that is rolled over to seal it. Works well on concrete or asphalt for urban survival too. Just rub the top of the can on the pavement until the seal is broken all around the lid. Awesome vids btw!
I was just about to make the same comment but decided to scroll down to see if anyone else might have known about this life hack and lo and behold yours was comment number five. Once you have the rolled edge worn down enough to have the seal broken all the way around then all you have to do is carefully squeeze in the sides of the can right at the end and the top will pop out. Since your cans have a lot of liquid in them be careful not to squeeze so hard that you lose all the drinkable liquid. Great minds think alike!
This is the best channel because this guy is one of the few that does not swear and he has great advice, content, and does things I can relate to,you the best man
That part about having an edge really stuck to me. When I seen this video and listened to what you were saying, I fell asleep with that mindset. Before, I was boring and I always felt like I was being stepped on, and my girl noticed that too. So the next day from when I watched this video, I did stuff on my own, I did a lot of yard work and to this day I’m working my butt off to get to a good college, and everything has been better for me. Thank you!
The more I watch your videos the more I fall in love with them! I haven't been subbed for a long time but I can tell I'm going to be watching your videos for a very long time. Stay safe and always back out if the conditions are bad would hate to lose someone who shares most of my opinions on life and who we are as humans.
Mate, Im 51yrs old... That was good sound advice ( End Letter ) and really what I needed to hear right at this point in my life. Thank you for that. Another great video!! keep em comin!! Skorp - Western Australia
“Edge”. You completely explained it with your actions and not your words. You could not look into the camera explaining to this guy ‘edge’ but when you are talking about survival or something you are completely confident in...dead straight eyes on us. Your speech was completely adorable but guys don’t need to be assholes, they need to be 100% confident in what they do. Nobody is going to roll over a confident man. Men need to be more confident in their abilities, crazy lacking. I just found you and love watching your videos, nice work and keep it up!
You have a very calm and selected manner of talking. This also shows in your way of doing things and solving those problems outside. I reaaally enjoy your videos and am eager to learn from you time and time again. Thanks
And you get oils from olives as well, which is awesome considering one of your previous videos was about keeping as much of the skin on the rabbit as possible. I think you need some salt on that corn...salt, that's not expensive and would still be within the challenge budget. Oh well... Also the discussions are truthful and helpful. Awesome video again.
I am a girl who watches your videos and I normally don’t comment on videos but I have to say this is so inspiring and relaxing, makes me wanna go hunt something and eat it 😂 also love the process of making shelter, fire etc. I love nature
I'm addicted, something about this guy is so calming, instead of doing my work for work, I've been sitting here for an hour watching you. And only 200k, you're one of the best youtubers i've been. I can see you put a lot of hard work in what you love. It must be very difficult to determine all things of the environment and move the camera in certain directions, then editting it for us to watch. Thank you so much for all your videos and keep up the great work!
I’ve seen many videos of people catching and cooking animals on RU-vid, but you are actually the first one that I’ve felt that actually tries to connect with the people that watch your videos. I hope you keep doing them for a long time bro. Also I find it really funny when you say “feel free to subscribe... or not I don’t care” man that is gold because I’ve seen people saying this but you can read it in their eyes that they actually want you to subscribe. But you my man... I believe you when you say that you don’t care, which shows that you do this because you enjoy it and nothing else. Respect
SOME ppl don't like long videos (over 15 - 20 minutes) apparently, but I have to think; Over an hour of "The Wooded Beardsman", OR ANY length of time of "cable TV" (Comcast here, ugh), hmmm lets see, hmmm hard decision because, "The Wooded Beardsman" WINS HANDS-DOWN EVERYTIME! ANYTHING I would be interested in Cable I can get online and your videos are awesome. I only wish I could get to the woods more than I do.
Hi, this is my first comment on any video in RU-vid but i have to thank you about the tips what you talk about at the end of the video. You helped me a lot to understand few things what i'm going through at the moment. I enjoy a lot videos about bushcraft and survival but it would never have come to my mind that i could find this kind of tips from these videos that would help me this way in my relationship. Thank you!
i like your videos, modern day people should know everything about survival specially kids today, connecting to nature is a great experience in life, its a kind of achievement in life, hope you always do videos like this, God bless more power from Philippines
I would just like to take the time to say thank you for being genuine. I’m new to the channel but not to RU-vid, and there aren’t many people who care more about the viewers than the views. I say this meaning your taking the time read everyone’s comments because you truly care and I know this because I scroll and scroll reading the comments and people’s opinions and I see that you comment on nearly all of them with real answers not the cut and dry “hey thanks”, and you do this not fully knowing how you impact the viewers. I’m not exactly sure where I’m going with this but I’ve been binge watching your videos because I truly enjoy the content and appreciate any and all advice given along the way. Well I guess I’ll end the comment here by saying thank you on behalf of all of us who watch and take it all in and better ourselves if not because of you then because seed you plant in our minds too better ourselves. Keep it up man! 👍
Everyone a vote right now!!!!!! Woodsman said he's outta content. Who wants to see him do some other content on something cool twice a week quick vids. On art or something. Go to some museum. Make a new playlist on cool shiz in Canada.
The Wooded Beardsman - It's so rare to find a real woodsman on YT & it would be a shame to see city vlogs but that's just me. Maybe try the native way of crafting duck decoys out of reeds to see if you could get a few to land? Would take a few days to make but then hunt over them. I've laughed at the other dollar store challenges, you did this right!
This is so cool! I was just thinking about your videos and when your next one will be uploaded just 20 minutes ago. To my surprise to see this uploaded, Thank you. Made my Saturday enjoyable and for all of you who are thinking, "Saturday??". I'm from Australia so I'm 16 hrs ahead of you guys depending on where you are. I'm from the future hahaha
Obi-Wan of the Woods. Knowledge is the act of learning and wisdom is the act of applying what you learn. I always like to learn from your videos and it always turns into great wisdom.
I have to laugh because I suppose I'm a very strange type of female. My husband is aware I hate drama, always have. He doesn't create drama but he finds other ways to challenge me just to see some of my fire. I choose to submit to him because I chose him. I chose him because he doesn't try to tame or domesticate me outside of what I choose to allow. I also don't try to tame him but have helped him to refine his social and natural leadership skills so he's more effective. I like to say we naturally fit together, strengthening each others weaknesses and presenting a untied front.
You are for sure in the minority! A woman who watches this channel AND comments is like 1 out of 150,000....I think there are only a handful of women that ever comment here. I'm sure most of the 4% of the women end up here by total accident and don't really watch. So yes, you are "very strange." hhaha, but then again, we're all pretty strange here! I can get on board with your perspective, you're doing it right.
Thanks Virginia. Having an edge is good, being an total A is bad LOL. Being able to stand up for yourself, day-in and day-out in a relationship is the only way I can see staying married. Just means having a strong backbone so that you don't sway in the breeze. If you get toppled by a woman, how will you fair against other men or in business :)
The Wooded Beardsman Gotta find a woman who doesn't want to topple you, except when applicable to the situation ;) That type of woman will work alongside you to instead topple the obstacles in your life. There's no power plays or games in my marriage, there's no need when our goals are the same. But I understand, some women want the excitement and drama...Lord knows I know plenty of them. Just never worked for me, I prefer peace and quiet.
By the way - the most useful thing a man can do with the old champagne cork? Put that into your gun's muzzle: it prevents the rain or snow from getting in.
Man, i wish i could find your clone. You are such an amazing person. You were definitely raised right and your a great dad and im sure your a great husband as well. Kudos to your wife for ultimately being understanding in your career path doing all things wilderness. Dont know if youre religious or not but God bless you my friend. Keep on doing what you do best! ❤❤❤
You are funny.. I like to also challenge myself in the outdoors, I am a woman, maybe I like it cause I am wired for drama and excitement.. haha j/k. I like the nice guy with an edge. I don't like guys messing with me just to create drama, but like the mystery of the man. I know a lot of woman that have "tamed" their man and now have a slave. It drives me nuts watching those relationships. You make some good points.. thank you for sharing.. subbed. Cheers!
It's the way, isn't it? All the reasons you marry a man end as soon as he loses his sharpness :) But at the same time, you can't let him get too sharp or he'll be unwieldy! Thanks for sharing and bringing some balance to the discussion.
You’re awesome, I wish I could be like you. To be outside survivalling and making videos of it and have a lot of people enjoying it. Instead I make videos of games. It doesn’t really help people survive but it helps people clear their minds. You’re my idol.
How? Experience in life. I learned to conquer my goals to be bipolar. Be giving when outcomes are positive be strict when when its time to lead. I try not to be disrespectful but never compromise my goals. I learned this as a young man leading older men in the marines.
New sub here , I'm an avid outdoors lady, was so happy to hear some accurate phsychology I was so impressed you sounded like Jordan Peterson and I went through comments only to find that you listen to him. Awesome.
I'm happy Peterson is doing all the heavy lifting!!! It's like common sense of yesteryear. We need to do better. We've let everyone down with all the lies we've fed our boys and girls over the years.
I was wondering, what does your wife think about you eating all those internal organs of animals? Nevertheless, I really enjoy all your videos and I wait for them every time. Best regards, Arthur.
Heehee, it's the opposite for me and my husband. I don't like most organ meat but I'll eat the heart out of anything. He won't touch it! He'll hunt the creature down and process it for me though, so I'm not complaining :)
I love this video.. it's survival, knowledge, and it looks fun!! He is really good! I can't perfect this video because it is ALREADY PERFECT!!!!!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😁😁😁😁😁😁😄😄😄😃😃😃
Sometimes, ya gotta get angry to survive. Downright medieval. Gots-sta caveman that rock and stick... It helps if you grunt and fart a bit as well. Maybe stick your tongue out the corner of your mouth: for purposes of concentration. :>L
