Awesome tip on streamer, or live bait fishin the monsters. Short strikes , or bumps first. In my opinion they are placing the bait in their optimal position to then eat that bait/streamer, that means stunning it then taking their sweet ass time to eat it. Thanks man for some confirmation.

Awesome! I'm curious though, do you mostly catch Browns either due to the large size of the streamer, the fact that it's streamer fishing in general, or due to it being winter? Because you seem to catch more browns than bows during the streamer videos. Then again maybe there's bows that are cur from the videos? Just a thought I had. Great video guys!!!
@hardmanfishing
@hardmanfishing 4 года назад
We catch almost exclusively browns when we throw streamers. That's just because rainbows never really get to a point where they specifically feed on fish. They always tend to eat bugs. They will eat other fish if the opportunity presents itself but they normally don't seek it out like browns do. We do occasionally catch rainbows it's just not as common.

Picked up some real beauitful fish here. Great film, B-roll, and overall editing. Always a joy to watch a HFA film. What size rod do you use, line, and leader? Just curious. I might be looking into a streamer rod/reel set up next. Thinking of a 6/7 wt 10' rod paired with a custom reel. We shall see! Keep up the good work boys!
@hardmanfishing
@hardmanfishing 4 года назад
Thanks for watching man!! I've been looking for you to post a video. And Andrew uses a 9 foot 7 wt and I use a 9 foot 8 wt for the big trout. As far as line goes we both use scientific angler, but that's because there was a sale not because its better necessarily. We use floating lines in the small creeks and when we fish the big rivers we use 240-330 grain sinking line.
