This is our first winter on the homestead and keeping fresh water for our livestock is a challenge here in NE. Here's how we're keeping their water supplies from freezing. Also a quick update on how things have been going!
Our goats have the same wear spots on their noses from the hay feeder. We have one similar to yours and found the goats are rubbing their nose on the wire as they're trying to get the hay out from the center. Of course that might not be the case with your sheep but I thought I would mention it just in case your vet says it's not something else.
