In todays adventure Chris, Ant, Rick and I head out for a wild camp on the highest fell in the Trough of Bowland, Fair Snape Fell standing at 510m. During the adventure we experienced a vast change in weather conditions ranging from sun, snow and freezing conditions but the Snugpak Scorpion 2 kept me safe during the night.
We had a fantastic night sitting out under the stars sharing stories from our previous adventures enjoying a few drinks with good friends looking out over the wonderful views, what more can you ask for……..
Please find links to the other guys channels below, love it if you would check them out and give them a follow if not already.

Motorway traffic is a mare, I hate it and to be fair, I hate driving. Canny walk and a great summit photo and that looked like a dam chilly night, a couple of magical night shots mind. Good to see you got a good morning and the gas lasted for a coffee, cheers Alan

Haha yes I’m glad the gas lasted too. It certainly was a very cold night but was toasty warm in the sleeping bag. Ant had a right nightmare with the traffic but made up for it during the night. Thanks for watching Alan 👍

Paddy's Pole? As in 'Paddy McGuiness'!?😂 Great video Phil. Far reaching views from up there. You can get elevation in the Lakes but Lancashire has it beaten on distance of views 👍

Trough of Bowland is in one spot and is basically a road that goes in-between Blaze Moss and Whins Brow all the way to Dunsop Bridge from Marshaw, 😊 but yeah great video all the same 🎉🎉

Such a good camp this was, we had crazy weather, we're able to sit out and have a good laugh too, just an overall great camp was had. Beautiful shots too mate, well done!

Great vid Phil. Have been looking at the scorpion 2 for a while. Yet to decide. I have the ionosphere and love it even though it’s inner first and no porch. Does the scorpion 2 have 2 way zips on the fly door? Just thinking ventilation when cooking inside. Thanks

@R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast 10 месяцев назад
Nice one Andy, I love the scorpion 2 for my winter camps, it’s a proper strong tent. It’s only a one way zip tho mate, although it is possible to leave the door down and open up either side depending on wind direction, you just change the peg point at the front. Thanks for watching mate 👍

Looks like you set your tent up wrong my friend, the bend in the poles if to give the footbox end lift and not for the sides, anyway Good luck.

Sorry but that’s not correct. Green ends of the angled poles go at the front of the tent so fellow Lancastrian Phil had it right. I’ve pitched mine easily a hundred times over the last 4 years that way. Also it doesn’t sit in the right shape if you don’t pay attention and accidentally put the poles the other way.

@@lioneljonson161 according to snugpak the green ends go towards the feet, its designed to give lift stopping condensation within the feet and stopping you from touching the foot end, however yes it can be used ether way and it still wont affect the tent , apparently, also the poles are color coded and will match with the tent as inserting, this is so you know where to slide the poles, the other end of the pole is left black, this is so you dont slide it into the green sleeve first, hope that makes some sort of sense, thank you for the reply, if you find out any more info then please fill free to letting me know, peace

@@stevepayne2795 I’m going to Scotland with it today for a week. I’ll try it both ways. I watched 4 or 5 setup videos yesterday and everyone had the green ends at the front but i suppose everyone could still be wrong. I also read the on-line instruction pdf but it could be seen as ambiguously worded if I’m being honest. I love a bit of pointless pedantry, regardless of which end of it I’m on, so I’ll report back after the scientific test 🙂
