Pure, raw unspoiled winter scenery cannot get much better guys. We finally had a couple decent snowfalls last week , 4 inches each time. Hadn't gotten any in two years. Back to mild conditions now so the ground is bare again. lol Glad you have Ellie back, though not fully recovered. Hey I love how Scotland has names for its snowplows/gritters! i.e. "Grittney Spears"!

We've just come back from a quick visit to Aviemore, The ducks have now most certainly all returned, they have all fattened up from when we saw them in the summer. We missed out on the icy Loch but I got surrounded but the duck feeding frenzy is always fun for me. How the weather changed over a few days.
thank you! That is a struggle! I had to sit them on top of the radiator in my van that mornign to heat them up as they were too cold to even charge 😂 just preplanning is the only solution
Another great video, I know that swim very well but I’ve only braved it in the summer! I can see why so many Van lifers flock to the south of Spain, Portugal or North Africa at this time of year. How do you dry towels and laundry at this time of year in your van?
Thank you 😁 it’s definitely our most dooked spot as well haha! Ohh it is a struggle unfortunately! We plonk our towels in front of our heater and just blast the gas heating all day to keep the van warm. They end up drying out over the day if you hang them out 🥰

Hari OM Nomination done! Crikey, though, I worry about you losing more than phones in that icy water... Anyhoo, I finally got to doing a bit more on The Grey's interior and am readying for getting back on the road by mid-Feb. The cold has sucked some of the energy from the EVan, but not that much - and I swear by my power bank (Bluetti) = so much so am thinking of adding another just for the convenience afforded. YAM xx
Rookie question here as we don’t have a motor home, would it be possible to have a small microwave in the van? For heating wheat bags instead of hot water bottles? Also for making baked potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. Maybe you wouldn’t get enough use out of them to justify it or maybe it would consume too much energy or space. 🤷♀️
You definitely could do but I think you would only be able to use it if you are plugged in to electrics as it would really drain battery power but I know many motorhomes actually come with microwaves in them 😁

Thank you so much 😆 October is a good time to start as it’s only getting colder from then so you won’t notice the change as much! The sea is always warmer than the rivers as it’ll be about 8 degrees, where as this snow melt is down around 1-2 😂
