As a certified Jari stan, this has truly been the longest wait of my life. I remember back in 2008 waiting for Time (before the split) thinking it would come out maybe in a year or so... Seems like after Time 2 Jari can focus on new material and release music more frequently.

I really hope so. Something tells me his creativity and perfectionism has driven him a little crazy.

@@AndrewMarloweTV He's not really a perfectionist tbh. He's been pretty clear on what the problem has been and it's basically the way he composes is not very optimized and because of that the computer can't handle it without crashing. It's also that he couldn't find the right sounds for the album, which I don't think is a sign of perfectionism necessarily. If it doesn't sound right then it's not finished, simple as. . He also stopped working on Time 2 for several years and started 4 other albums at the same time lol. So more of an ADD situation rather than perfectionist.

@thegoblonoid but dude, I've never heard of an album taking 12 years just cause someone couldn't find the right sound lol definitely some perfectionism in there. Hopefully it's worth it. But like I said, he's lost precious time , no pun intended

2:40 yep that's the cover of the album. It was decided many, many years ago. Also the release date of Time II IS August 30th so we can be certain if it. Though there is a remote possibility that it might slip a few days (that's what happened with Time I because of issues with getting the CD's manufactured or something) but I think that's highly unlikely

8:25 Time III is not gonna happen, though Jari said that never say never, but it's like 99.99% certain that it won't happen because Time I and Time II were originally just one album, called Time, but for various reasons it has to be split into two, but with the release of Time II, the Time saga is finally complete. Jari is working on 4 new albums and one of them is almost ready so I assume it'll be released maybe next year or the year after. I'm more confident that he'll release albums more rapidly now because he has been able to solve the issues that has held him back in the past thanks to having been able to build a new studio and the help of modern plug-in technology

Definitely makes sense but I can't help but think of all the time he has lost from being such a perfectionist. There is no such thing as a perfect album anyway, there will always be flaws. Having said that, maybe Jari ia closer to his vision with this new setup

@@AndrewMarloweTV he said he's something like 90% happy with the sound and that's good enough for him. Previously he has said that regarding to Time I he was only 60% happy with it. The soundscape of these albums are very complex and intricate so it's no wonder that they require special care in production. In contrast The Forest Seasons album has much simpler and more primitive sound so he was able to produce it quickly with the resources he had at the time. Although the album turned out great, I love it very much too, it's not the kind of music Jari wants to do, but it became necessary. He wants to make albums like the Time albums but even crazier productions

10:19 the reason it took so long for Jari to finish Time II was because he was unable to get the it to sound right for various reasons. He said that he thinks he failed with Time I. It didn't turn out how he wanted it to be so it was a huge compromise and he was not willing to do that with Time II so he put the album on hold and begun to work on other music. Last year he begun testing new plug-ins for the new albums he was working on and found one which he thought it could be a good fit for Time II and he begun experimenting and indeed it worked great so he then put all of his focus on finishing Time II and here we are and the album sounds absolutely phenomenal.

I love how it sounds but the snare tone sounds horrible :(

@@clem_chret Well, I guess Jari really fucked up that thing despite having 18 years to perfect it. What a noob he is.

@@Patralgan I'm not the only one who said that lol. He can spend 30 years to do it and still make mistakes... I didn't say he is wrong but just the snare sounds like plastic toy... Hope it's mainly because of ytb compression but I'm not sure

@@clem_chret I'm just thinking that it would be weird if Kai Hahto, a real master of drums, wouldn't have pointed out this issue many months ago directly to Jari so he would have been able to fix it before the release. Or could it be that it's a deliberate artistic choice for this kind of unique project and it is exactly like its supposed to be and the issue really is that it defies the expectations of some listeners about what the snare should sound like? I honestly don't know because I'm not an expert. I don't know what the thing with the snare is that makes it sound so horrible. When I listen to it, the whole thing just sound fantastic, but maybe it sounds so good to me because I'm not an expert? 🤷‍♂️

@@Patralgan You know it's all about compromise when you mix and master that kind of project. I also thought about Kai approving this or not, we will never know. But if you listen to other bands, snare can sound way more organic but as you said, that can be artistic choice. I hope It will sound better on final release than compressed ytb audio. The snare to me is especially bad on slower pace. On blast beat it's ok. Anyway I wait this album like Christmas man.
