I'm one that thinks dolls are creepy. I loved stuffed animals as a kid. However, I like that they help take your mind off pain. I think everyone should have a hobby to help take their mind off things. No matter what you like I support it. I don't care if I like it or not. I might not watch the dolls but I'll play it while I go and do other things.

Dolls seemed like they were staring at me as a child. They creeped me out. I hated Barbies too. I wouldn't mind one of those dolls that look and feel like a real newborn now. But I can't spend that kind of money. I never had kids. That's probably why. But some of her dolls are gorgeous. Both really long haired dolls are beautiful.

So happy you are able to chat with us. I needed you today. I was yelled at by a so called friend ( actually a friend’s husband) last night and still am feeling just as abused as I was by my first husband. Your picture today, the little girl has full lips like Sadie. We stay home with the garden hose each 4th of July, always have. Younger days we would block off the cul-de-sac and have a real block party 🎉

This morning I had dental surgery that ended up being longer and more complicated/ painful than I planned on. Now I'm watching you and trying not to cry because my jaw/ mouth hurts so bad😢 tomorrow is the 4th, we're having a family BBQ & I'm praying there's something I can eat & that I'm not miserable the whole time:/ Hubby has been sweet, he's a lot like Jody, we're both blessed to have our guys❤

I went to my quilting club today, and worked on my quilt. I will post a picture on the fb page when I get it finished. I am close now. I named it Autumn Reverie, and I started writing the story of my journey from starting it 25 years ago to finishing it this year! It's a quarter century project!!! I am going to work on the quilt tomorrow. I have one more corner to embroider, then I will start on the binding. So close!

My WIP Wednesday was spent in bed sick. I slept most of Wednesday. Today, Thursday and I trying to stay awake and get stuff done despite how I am feeling. Sinus infections are no fun at all! I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy. I have Sjogren's (I believe that's one of your many autoimmune disorders.) My eyes have been blurry lately, and it's aggravating. I need to be consistent with using my eye drops. I love dolls too, but my daughter always found them creepy. One of my granddaughters loves dolls, so that's been fun. My daughter and grandchildren were over today making things out of clay. What a mess! Then we took the 10-year-old to her art class. They are working on art journals, and she is loving it! I think tomorrow will be a quiet day for us! ❤🇺🇸

Auto immune sucks for sure, I take my meds for UC, then it reduces my immune system and I get shingles.... such a bad cycle....I feel ya!... push through another day, that's all we can do... HUgs~ Lea

Love visiting with you. I've been sewing my red dress. I hand sew my clothes so I can still work in bed. I have started a jelly roll quilt so I can practice sewing in a straight line! Know what you mean about feeling under the weather. You don't know what to do with yourself. I just give myself 1 thing to do per day and then I feel I have accomplished something. Rest up and enjoy 4th of July.

I haven't Crocheted in over a month. I want to start something soon. A vest or a shawl. Have yarn for a blanket or two. I'm working the 4th. It a fun job only 7 hours broke into 2 shifts. 3 in the morning and 4 in mud afternoon. Fix supper. So enjoy watching you do anything. You keep me company. .. Jean. R.

You are blessed with your Jody, so thoughtful and always making you happy. Sadie is adorable, as well as the others. We went to my daughter and son in laws for a crab boil, it was delicious! I’m not good at cracking the shells, but got it done , without starving, lol then went home and later listened to all the fireworks around the neighborhood. Sounded like a war out there! I had my yearly Dr appt this morning. It wasn't bad except for traffic - everybody else apparently are going somewhere else for the holiday! Not me, I was glad to get back home in one piece. Then I stopped & got groceries. I started some new physical therapy yesterday for my left hand, they think it's just arthritis but it sure is a pain. I have problems grasping and closing my fingers. And it sure doesn't help my crocheting. I know you understand that! I keep hoping that it doesn't get worse. Glad to see you're happy with your new plastic grandchild!!! At least you have a quiet one!!!

I am watching you on the 4th. We went over to our younger daughter’s home for a cookout. We brought fixins to make homemade ice cream. Guess what---the motor on the ice cream maker finally gave out……😫😥. After 30 years of service, it retired! But the mixture became like a runny shake, so people still ate it! Its about the intent I think, when pushing forward. If you do it the wrong way your body will rebel. Ive learnt we must lead the way with the brain, you have to lead it to safety and to good, positive things. It doesnt work the other way around unfortunately, if we give in and baby the symptoms they can become permanent as our lives shrink around them. We must instead forge ahead, forging new neural pathways. Doing the opposite of what we feel. Slowly, over time things start to ease up. Never push, do things with love and compassion for yourself, keep doing things you love and spark joy. Theres a whole world of fascinating stuff to learn about pain and how we feel! Bottom line is 'fake it until you make it!'. Sending hugs.

When I have those days I try to do stuff and if I feel super low energy I stop. I hear ya, Kayla, its super hard to know! Yesterday, I did things I had to then sat but today I pushed through and thankfully the funk seems to have passed. Its so weird, I go for months feeling "normal" then, Boom!, back to crap again. It cycles and its so frustrating! It's like I'm feeling really well but in the back of my mind I wonder how long it will last. I anticipate what's coming and I hate it. I don't want to think like that but its my reality and it stinks on ice. I am crocheting a Gabby doll, from a children's show my grand likes, for her birthday.

Hi Kayla, I am working on a small cowl with premier hipster yarn, a 3 weight yarn, very pretty. I think I might use it as a headscarf, the kind the Polish used to call a babuska?! Works for me! 😂 I can relate to your pain, too, I manage my migraines pretty well with medicine, but now my lower back is acting up, and I have so much I want to do, but I have to sit or lay down. 😤 I am happy that most nights I can sleep without pain anyway. I know the emotional part of the pain management can get tricky, too. I might go back to journaling and my meditation tapes. (Yes, I’m that old, I have cassette tapes and even records.) Music soothes the savage beast. I love mo-town music. And it would be fun to color with my almost 2 year old granddaughter. I’m sure coloring with Alana won’t be anywhere near as peaceful as your session is, but at least I won’t be thinking about pain! Your husband is wonderful to you, so sweet and loving. You enjoy your dolls, and Happy 4th of July. Stay safe, stay cool! compared to your 99 degrees, I can say that it will “only” be 88 degrees up here in MI tomorrow. 🥵

I am having big eye dramas this week too, ontop of my usual eyesight issues.🤓 Optometrist appoint this am and I have a severe posterial vitreous detachment and I have to take it easy as I have an increased risk of a retinal tear or retinal detachment in the next few weeks.( Not that I can ever do much with my chronic conditions). Need to have regular check up now so we make sure we catch any more issues quickly. Like u lovely Mama Kayla, I personally just do not need anymore issues but of cause we always get something piled ontop of our load.🥴 It is said that God only gives us what we can handle but I really do struggle to handle my load. I always try to think, I could have something worse but God is protecting me from that. 💗🙏 Love and prayers 💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏

Hugs, sorry you are having a hard time. The chronic illnesses are so hard to get it right. I so get what you say. Every time I insist on pushing through, (against my better judgement from past experiences) I lose a day or two to sleep because of the stress I caused my body. So in the end I am worse off then if I had just been patient and stopped when I was ahead.. Yeah those bad vision days are so annoying. What I have found by chance has helped keep them to be less often has been drinking some sort of Japanese tea with matcha added. It is processed different than Chinese green tea. For some reason it helps my vision, and it is just a small cup once a day.

WHEN I WAS LITTLE I HAD SO MANY BEAUTIFUL DOLLLS.I WOULD LINEBTHEM ALL UP IN MY ROOM AND I NAMED EVERYONE.I WAS A ONLY CHILD SO I TALKED TO THEM AND TOOK SUCH GOOD CARE OF THEM. NO PLANS FOR TOMORROW ITS TOO HOT. LOVE YOU HOPE YOU START FEELING BETTER.

I don't understand why docs can't get your pain under control. There are so many drugs out there that must be effective and help people feel good since there are so many addicts. It's too bad pain doesn't have a specific test to measure it and help docs understand what level of pain a person has in order to alleviate it. I'm sure if they had the same level of pain themselves, they would take care of it right away. I'm so sorry you are suffering like this and pray for relief. 🙏💖

I'm working on a cat page. I'm using three different sets of pencils. That's fun to do..one set is my kalourset . tonite I will work on my granny square blanket.
