Wipeout HD Fury - Zone Battle Tutorial

In many of your videos you allude to the fact that the ships in Wipeout have different "hidden" stats that help differentiate them. Are you basing this on anything official or is it just a general feeling you have over many hours of play? I'd be very interested to find out.

In WipEout 2048, SCEE should really update it so it can have racebox as well.

Seems like Zone Battle in WipEout HD worked very similar to Eliminator. Every time your ship energy expired, you'll respawn but with minus 5 zones...

@OveReAction10 thats the point. zone/zone battle is a "pilot simulation".

On one of his other comments, he said that he tried falling off, and it was a 40 percent energy loss if you do so.

@Hecticmaniac It's like all other game modes, you respawn minus a small amount of shield energy

Nice tutorial, too bad though that you didn't explain the depletion the target zone, I still don't get it.

Something I've noticed about Zone Battles is that sometimes when you do a Zone Boost, you get a shield anyway. I'm not sure what the rules for it are but it happens in both the PS3 and PS4 versions

Question, will your craft be destroyed instantly if you fall off the track? I have this tendency to die when I fall off the track even at 100% shields...

I think I just found it online somewhere. It was ages ago so can't remember where unfortunately.

All I know is zone battle is way too complex. I’m still so lost with all these rules.
