Splatana wiper tip: Its a pretty good combo weapon, using horizontal and vertical slashes along with torpedo. Also dont always go for charged slashes, they’re satisfying to hit but they shouldnt be your only way to kill

I’m really happy that the Wiper is getting the attention that it deserves. It really is a fun weapon, and feels fantastic when everything goes as planned. It’s really easy to mess up with, as failing to follow through on your plan almost always gets you killed in the process of you’re overextending. When it goes well, everything you look at dies, when it does not, then it’s quite easy to feed instead. I really hope for more Splatana options in the future, either with alternate kits, or with a third variant besides Wiper and Stamper.

Bit of general wiper advice I want to give is that when playing it you have 2 sweet spots in your range 1 being at the tip of your range where you outrage every short-ranged shooter in the game and 2 being the immediate area around you where you can instantly one shot someone. What a lot of people do is only play around one of these sweet spots and only really play with half the main weapon. By only using one of the slashes and relegating the other one for emergencies or paint during downtime. This is deeply suboptimal because you end up in a situation where the other options wiper has are better for the situation and you end up not being able to recognise that in the moment and die for it when you could've won the engagement. Every player i've seen learn the wiper has gotten stuck in this phase of learning the wiper. Yes even top players. So it's nothing to be ashamed over. I recommend practising using the options you neglect in training mode so you feel comfortable executing them during a real match. And don't forget your torpedo combos they are really strong.

I prefer stealth jump over obj shredder since the obj damage is already high and quick respawn goes well with stealth jump. I also like running comeback with quick respawn and some ninja squid as well Other than that Im glad my new favorite weapon is finally getting recognition

Even as backline player, I enjoy the Splataner Wiper as well, but it did not realy fit my style and want more to experiment with the Tri-Inkferno. Also Flounder Heights is a backline hell and must try more out that works for me.

I'm really curious to see what kind of kit the wiper gets next. I'd assume maybe it would get a more passive kit since this kit already allows it to play aggressively. The devs might do some form of Beakons + Missiles from Splatoon 2 that were pasted onto aggressive weapons like Sploosh and Octobrush. Giving wiper the tacticooler would be cool because it would allow the weapon to play without QR.

In my oppinion, it's true that you shouldn't just do vertical slashes, but you shouldn't without depriving as much x), you have to vary as much as possible in my opinion and I find it super frustrating to see all the kill opportunities that you miss because of that even if it plays on safety, you have to take risks especially when you have respawn+ otherwise you take the stamper

I don’t care what’s general accepted as the best weapon. I will get my next pure of ink saver main and finish the headphones and use all ink saver on a splattershot jr. I don’t care that sloshing machine is the best weapon. I want to shoot the entire match on one ink tank. I will play with the most impractical weapons and gear. Maybe all qr on explosher.

I think wiper is over hyped. It has good object damage, and can rushdown sloshing machine players decently, but the special is pretty bad and the main weapon has rather low DPS.
