this game is deceptively difficult. You have to strategically expose the map using the circle around you otherwise you get overwhelmed VERY fast before you can upgrade your mech.

Those nodes or rocks are the upgrades you get after your runs. Destroy more for better upgrades

Little tip with the minigun since it isnt as straight forward as other games. Your character picks a direction to face of 8 directions and that determines the firing cone for that clip. The mini gun character's passive is each bullet in their main gun does 1 more damage than the last. So using the last half of your clip is better marginally than the first half. But if no enemy is in your firing cone, Youll stop firing and reload, wasting not only time reloading but the higher damage bullets. Strafing in ways to best maximize your current firing direction makes a massive difference in early clear and helps you get upgrades online before monsters start getting difficult.
