How can I tell if a wire is dead soft or half hard if it's not indicated, especially when buying online? Can the size of the wire be used as an indicator or not?

If they aren’t indicating it online you can ask the seller. I will say though, any reputable jewelry wire will be labeled. They may say soft instead of DEAD soft etc…. BUT most decent wire is labeled. When in doubt don’t order it if unlabeled.

Are dead soft copper wire and bare copper wire same?

Hi 👋! Yes bare copper wire is going to be dead soft! Copper is the softest metal to work with and u can work harden it by running it through nylon jaw pliers and hammering it! I hope 🤞 this helps you out!!

For using beading wire which Is beSt gauge ?

Hello! It depends on the project or what you are going to make. If you want to make a wire wrapped loop necklace a 24 or 26 gauge works best. If you want to make a bracelet with regular - not wrapped loops - you should go with a bigger wire like a 18 or 20 gauge.
