Wire Wrap Sunshine Tutorial - How to Make Jewelry

Join me in this tutorial to learn how to make a cute little sunshine! ☀️
🔨Materials:
- 9" piece of 20g (0.8mm) wire (I recommend any soft wire like copper, silver filled, sterling silver or plated copper wire)
- 15" piece of 26g (0.4mm) wire
- 3 pieces of 20g wire, about 3" long. You can use scrap wires, these are just used to weave around
- 6mm bead
-Pliers: Chain Nose, Needle Nose (optional)
-Wire Cutters

Thank you for sharing this video!!!.. I will be trying to make these soon... can you use an 8mm or even a 10mm bead. How will change the measurement of the wires. Also can you do an extra 4th or 5th row to make the sun flares more dramatic?

Yes, you can do all of those things! 😄 You'll just have to experiment to see how much you need to adjust the measurements, but it's always easier to trim off excess lil sunshine rays than to add more if it's short. You can add as many rows as you'd like, and even use a thicker wire to weave with if you're comfortable using it! I hope you have fun trying it! Just let me know if you need any more help 💙

I have had this beaded string of wire for about 3 years. Never had the heart to take the beads off the wire. It's really pretty and I have been looking for the perfect project to use it. Thankfully today I did, because of you. 😅 I made a variation of this. I attached the two ends, and I'm going to put the skull in the middle. . Thank you for your easy to follow instructions, you probably don't even realize how good you are. . Let's just say this is not the first time I've tried to make a sun. I'm' going to finish this 10 minute project. Not exaggerating people 10 minutes. This one's for a client but now it's my turn. I have a question for you. I find that some of the Benecraft permanently colored wire turns a yellowy color. It looks gross . How do I fix this problem and if it's about putting the wire in a solution of something should I make the project first and then do the solution or should I do the solution and then do the project. Does that make sense . I must apologize for my lack of periods,commas basic sentence structure. English was not my best subject and maybe it just takes up too much time to go back and fix everything especially when you're in a hurry and the temperature is dropping

Thank you so much for sharing all of this, you really brightened up my day! I'm so happy you were able to follow the tutorial! For the colored wire, I've always had issues with silver plated wire turning yellow or black spots appearing months after I make something, which isn't ideal when you make something to sell and then when someone finally buys it, it looks already used. That's one of the reasons I moved up to Silver Filled Wire and eventually Sterling Silver, but the silver filled is a great option if you're on a budget. If I want something intricate to stay bright silver, I clean it with alcohol then apply two coats of ProtectaClear. This is also a great method because you don't have to worry so much about your pliers scratching the coating off the wire! If none of that is in your budget, the best silver plated wire I've come across is the Beadalon German Style Silver Wire, but it's a stiffer/harder wire to work with, so it may not be ideal. I hope this helps! 💙
