However, I fiddled around with my wire so much trying to get the beginning loops “perfect” that I broke one of them before I even got started! 🤦🏼♀️ I need to relax and practice practice practice!

OK, so do you have a video of you actually making the necklace? I’ve done crying is a different way and I was trying your way, but do you have any thing that is holding the back?
In this particular design, three are wire tabs in back ... you can make 2 prong wires, one for back and one for front with 2 straight wires in the middle (this frame is 4 wires)... mirror the prongs front to back and that will be an easy way also, to set a thin cabochon.
