Correction: Director Larry Peerce did direct films after Wired. But they were all TV films/mini series. So Wired was his last theatrical film and the last film he directed that was produced by a Hollywood studio. So I was wrong about it being his last film in general, but it was his last film to be released in theaters.

It was pretty bad biopic film, i remember to see that on movie channel back day, did not have a great scene where john can sing in blue brothers scene, that some point atlantic releasing almost releasing this film, unfortunately atlantic have goes out of business they lose rights, picked up other company.
