Awesome Job Mike, I Hated The Omen Remake Too, Incompetent Shot For Shot Remake IMO, & Severe Lack of Creativity, Poorly Written & Directed, but I thought Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, Pete Postlethwaite, & Mia Farrow did a Good Job though, but Still Sucks, but I Love The Omen 1 & 2 though there Some of my Favorite Omen Films, I don't like Omen 3, 4, & The Remake there Bad Movies IMO

Mike, minor correction. You mentioned in this review as well as the other one that Jo's parents got taken by the tornado but really it was just Jo's father. I thought you simply made a mistake with your words in your Twister review by saying both parents were killed. It's not a huge deal but I felt the need to say something since you're clearly a fan of the movie and the cold open is pretty iconic where Jo's dad gets sucked up and her mother is the one trying to hold her back from running that direction. I know we don't see Jo's mother again after the cold open but it's pretty clear she survived. Unless it was confirmed through other sources she died by tornado.
I always assumed she was taken off screen. She's clearly not alive anymore. So it's just a case of the mandela effect going on here. Her relationship with her aunt seemed to be a lot closer than usual too. Either way, the origin of Jo and Kate is very similar.
@@OcpCommunications Yeah, like I said it's a minor mistake on your part. Later on in the movie when Jo's trying to pick up all the sensors Bill takes ahold of her and says bad unpredictable things happen sometimes and killing yourself won't bring your dad back. That cemented for me that it was only Jo's father who died in the incident. Her mother most likely died some years after those events because yeah she really is close with her aunt.
Bravo I’ve been calling out his hypocrisy for years with his toxic positivity bullshit and how it’s brainwashed a good amount of film lovers on the internet. Plus he was an asshole to me when I was a literal teenager.
When I first heard this being announced I was honestly thinking this was such an unnecessary sequel, case of Hollywood banking in on nostalgia but if you ended up liking it then its definitely worth checking out then. Guess this is another case of another good "belated" sequel like Top Gun: Maverick, Blade Runner 2049 and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. Might check this out eventually. :D
The fire tornado was done better in Into the Storm. I mean that movie got shit for being "found footage", but I'd rather watch that again over Twisters.
Never a good idea when they wait almost 30 years to do a sequel/reboot. I heard they didn't even consult Jan Dubont since he did direct the first Twister. I have zero interest in this movie. I'm sure a lot of people think it's fun but I'll stick to the original. Plus the actors don't look that appealing to me. It just looks like a movie that's trying too hard.
That’s why I’ve been so turned off by the trailers. It comes across to me like Glen Powell and whoever that girl is are trying so hard to be Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt lol
I was disappointed with it. It's not a bad movie yet it was afraid to be the fun silly flick the original was. I mean come on in the first one you got a cow casually being blown around and a scene with our main characters driving right through a house. This movie had none of that and tried too hard to play it straight when they should have just gone for the insane absurdity that made the original charming.
Yeah, it definitely wasn't wild enough. The closest it got was Tyler shooting fireworks into the tornado. Not even the fire tornado was really anything that crazy. It's on fire for 30 seconds.
I would've liked this movie much better if it had a better story. I mean, the tornado scenes are entertaining, but aside from that, what is there, besides a bickering estranged couple and a tracking machine? Also, Jami Gertz can *not* do a Southern accent to save her life.
Oof. Into the Storm may be one of the worst movies I’ve seen in the last ten years. It couldn’t decide if it was a found footage movie or a regular movie. What a mess.
the original “karate kid” containing lots of culture from Japan, which is very impressive. While “kung-fu kid” just like another version of Jackie Chan's old movie “Drunken Master”, audience have nothing left but hahaha. The two movies are not comparable.
Anyways I got imprint the beast on blu ray couple months ago, I know it just barebone just like did kino lorber, I just got it as well, I got both them kept my collection, I got really good price for 4.50 from pawn shop
"Stigmata" had a MPI Media Group Blu-ray/DVD combo pack along with the mediabook just recently and both have better cover arts. Only disappointing is they didn't port the Music Video and the Documentary from the MGM DVD and Shout Factory Blu-ray release. Another example of lazy rights issues!
Terry Silver stole the show though. You have to admit he had some classic lines. 'Make his knuckles bleed' 🤣. I like Terry as a nice guy better though than a villain
Streaming is the most laziest of all time and so are the studios! Don't blame Physical Media on their practice! Reason why we are not getting that many extras is because of the rights issues! If companies had continue producing and then, port all of the previous extras from older releases if they have clearance, we wouldn't have this problem. It's annoying but we might as well live with it.
Anyway, Excellent collection and I would love to get the "Rocky" Collection on 4K UHD someday when it's affordable! Only had the Blu-ray of the first "Rocky" along with the first four on DVD. As well as "Creed" on Blu-ray and a Showtime 2008 DVD-R recording of "Rocky Balboa".
Honestly I don't see what the big deal about 4k is. I know a lot of people are getting 4k Blu Rays but you need a 4k TV to watch them. I got a standard flat screen TV and I'm good. To me a 4k TV seems more like a luxury, especially if you're going for that home theater experience. But I'm good on that.
@@MrDman21 You can say the same thing with Blu-rays and DVDs if you want to upgrade in any size, shape or form on standard CRTs or HD TVs. Everyone has a choice and options that you want and be happy with it! I'm happy that I upgraded and want to continue to buy more. But, I still need to find an extra space to collect them like a brand new shelf!
If you can afford to upgrade? It's worth it trust me. I used to be in the same boat but after getting my OLED and an Oppo, I can't think let alone fathom going back to an old standard TV.
I have a "Big Lots!" close to where I live so I sometimes go there to buy Physical Media at closeout prices. They already close three locations in my area and my location (Montrose, CA) at least is still open. But it's sometimes difficult to find titles for a lot less. Therefore, I hope they don't close all the rest. I would be surprise if it becomes a "Pic-N-Save" again like the one in Whittier, CA. Bad enough, I lost all the "99 Cent Only Store" locations this year where I often find some Blu-rays and DVDs there.
Sounds to me it’s another lousy Rocky collection on physical media. It’s getting annoying now how this franchise always gets the shaft especially on blu ray. With never having special features for the sequels actually talking about the making of the films to constant re-releases, they never get it right. I still have the old dvd box set which is the best thing that has ever come out. I guess I’ll hunt down the first blu ray set now and finally upgrade since I don’t have 4k. Thanks for the info!
Blame the studios and companies for that. They kept messing around with releases everyday not putting any effort like they did in the past and the quality control that plaques around.
How's the Rocky Balboa director's cut. I want to get that collection. The director's cut of rocky IV is my favorite. I like it more than the original version. Rocky IV director's cut is my favorite of the franchise. Rocky IV is still my favorite of the franchise
Later down the road I'm gonna request you to do 2001 a space Odyssey and 2010 films...it's films I haven't seen you review on your channel yet and I thought they deserve some recognition
Next month I’m gonna buy requests of alien movies, Star crystal, Conan movies, legend, clash of the titans 1981, wizard of Oz (for the 85th anniversary), oz great and powerful, return to oz and Willy Wonka movies.
I heard of this film, it was released when I was 5, but thankfully I didn't see this film. I have completely forgotten about for years until I saw a review of it by Nostalgia Critic (which he calls the film boring) in 2009. I also notice that few of the actors from Exosquad were in this film. They knew the script suck so bad, but had to do it for a paycheck.
