Honestly... If you give me a fast enough wired charging, I really don't care for wireless charging

I think it's important to remember that it's not a binary choice. It's a choice between having wired, charging and wireless charging versus only having one.

I bought the Huawei 40 watt wireless charger 3 years ago, and use it every day. I've had many of the LG, Samsung, and HTC phones. After having the phone drop while charging and having it mess up the charging port, i don't want to go back to wired. It is an upright charger with a fan that can adjust it's speed for the heat. Most things you do with wired anything seems to be going away, even Dex, and LG desk top modes support wireless. Nice to have the charging port for an option, but i haven't had to use it for charging in years.

Charging is like cigarette, the more you do it, the less your phone lasts. Fast cable charging like OP and Xiaomi is a win for folks like me who cant afford to change phone every year.

Super fast charging is just too convenient, especially when you have one in the car. I feel like I can leave the house at any percentage with a fast charger in the car. Wireless charging make people leave their pgknes on a charge way too often. Instead of aim to keep the battery at 20-80 percent fot optimal battery health, they keep it at 50-100 most of the time. Charging the phone any chance they get not out of necessity, but just because when the put the phone down its always on a charger.

I am definitely not a wireless charging guy but there were some good arguments laid out here and I appreciate the discourse on the matter. I still am 100% in favor of wired because I don't really see much of a benefit of wireless.

For me it's typically wireless overnight because speed doesn't matter, and when I need those super quick top offs, super fast wired all day

The 2 1/2 fold appeal of wireless charging: The half is universality, which is less important now that iPhones support USB-C Public security. Not having to plug in from public spaces in which the other end may or may not be secure is comforting. Peripheral support. Being able to charge and connect to a USB C peripheral at the same time can be helpful.

Almost always use wired charging here. But i do enjoy the option of wireless charging, if I buy a new device I prefer it to have both

If it was wireless, should not be cable involved. Less efficiency, more heat, you cannot use phone while using for most tasks. Qi coil is why 5v lost 3rd cam. Tear down shows no more space was left inside.

Just like audio, wired charging is reliable just like wired audio. I use fast charging everyday with my phone at 100% while leaving the phone charging overnight even with 100% battery fully charged and I use the battery settings to prolong the phone battery life span. I don't even use dark mode and not even power savings mode. I get burn in faster from oled displays than battery degradation. I use my phone while it's plugged in and I leave my phone plugged in at 100% while I'm using my phone even with fast wired charging. I wish every phone has hs power control like my sony xperia 1 iv android phone to bypass the battery and charge the phone from an outlet to prolong the life span of the phones battery. I tried wireless charging on my phone and the back of the phone got really hot and I got a notification that my phone stopped wirelessly charging due to the heat and will continue to wirelessly charge my phone once the heat will lower to preserve the battery. With wireless charging my phone continued to stay really hot on the back and I ended up going back to using fast wired charging since I don't get the notification from fast charging since it does not say that any of form of heat would degrade the battery faster. The heat notification only shows up when using wireless charging. I miss using removable batteries since I would replace the stock samsung galaxy note 4 battery with a 10,000 mah battery case from zero lemon since I'm a heavy power user with the screen display brightness at 100% manual mode 24/7 even indoors with autobrightness turned off since autobrightness is too dim while constantly having static images while using oled displays. I treat all displays in the same way whether a display is oled or not oled. It's why I wish there was an option for mini led displays for phones and more portable display devices to get rid of the oled burn in issues. I always bring a portable power bank since not every phone has a battery case.

Wireless thing is future and still under experimental activities but wired is way more practical and best option in every electronics.

To be fair... wireless is amazing for the convenience of needing it and having a place with a charging tabletop scattered in cities and cafes. Better to have it and not need it but its really there for those niche situations for the general public...

Wireless charging is only good if it has magnets for alignment and low wattage for overnight charging. Wired charging is only good when it charges super fast. Their importance is highlighted between different users.

Where is the debate when let's say OnePlus has wireless charging as fast as Samsung wired charging. Besides, OnePlus has sensor to prevent from overheating.

I don't have much hope in being convinced against quick charging. I've learned the OnePlus way ever since the 3t. I just returned to OnePlus (12) after a sidespring to Pixel 7.

Wireless charging is bad for my s24 ultra it heats it up so much so I don't use it to charge my phone anymore.

In an LG V60 is like a necessity... But in mine just makes my phone warmer and charge slower. Not a good thing for a phone that would've really benefit from wireless charging when its USB-C don't like to be used all the time.

I often need to use my phone while it charges. I'm out on wireless chargers until they can beam the juice from 10+ feet away 🤷

Why didn't you talk about oneplus fast wireless charger that charges fast than Samsung wired

All right now I just finished video number one but I have to say I'm a big fan of wireless charging due to the convenience and the fact that I don't have to fight with cables and being as my disability gives me kind of a dexterity issue, fighting with cables can become more than a little annoying. So the fact that I can just drop my devices on wireless charges? That's a big time saver as well as convenience and I've also went ahead and added magnets or magnetic cases to my favorite devices to assist with lining up. Who said wireless chargers? And I too have magnetic mounts all throughout my home and in my car so I definitely see the advantages of wireless charging that being said, I can also see the advantages for wire charging. My big issue with wire charging is that the super fast wired charging has not made it down to the more affordable devices. We don't have super fast wire charging on $300 devices or $280 devices. You do still have to spend a small premium to get super fast wire charging, whereas you don't for a device that has wireless charging. Just like you don't add the accompanying max safe magnetic capabilities to that more affordable device. Anyways, this was a really interesting video. Definitely going to check out part 2. Something that was left out of the discussion: USB-C ports break and or wear out. If you are only plugging in your phome once per day, probably not an issue. However, for me I am moving around a large building all day long with bad coverage so doing little bits of charging many times per day is part of getting through the day. So is battery assassinating ride share apps. As the phone ages, you will also be more likely to do more frequent charging and if like me you are routinely plugging the phone into a computer to offload large amounts of 4k video. Having the wireless coil is a nice insurance policy to keep the phone working if the USB-C port does wear out. I have had the port wear out and know other people who have had the port wear out. It is a thing for if you keep your phone a while.
