Thanks! I’m not powering anything from the Dtap anymore because the v mount plate on the Teradek module powers everything. Most, if not all, dtap on batteries these days are regulated by the internal chips inside the battery. I don’t see why the Swit batteries would be any different.

Sorry for the delay! I love it, it’s not a tool I completely rely on so the beam angle doesn’t bother me. I use it as a reference to get an idea of where I should be with focus but understand it’s not going to be 100% accurate 100% of the time. It’s a nice tool to have but not a necessary one.

I love the system. For the price, it’s punching WAY above its weight. I haven’t found anything I think is a serious minus. There are some operations that are a little clunky when changing lenses but nothing I would consider a major minus. Overall I think the RT is the best all around system, arri and Preston are great for what they are intended for while the RT is more compatible with todays smaller camera builds. 10/10 would recommend The TOF.1 is a tough one. I have one and don’t really use it all that much. It works great and can be a very helpful aid but with the cameras I’m using getting smaller and smaller it become a issue of where to put it. The beam angle is fairly small in comparison to other range finders so getting a accurate reading during a take can be difficult. I use it more of a reference in between takes or to get marks. The auto focus feature can be useful for getting slate if I don’t want to it move my focus knob but honestly it’s more work than necessary in my opinion. I would say get the TOF.1 if you know you’ll use it a lot otherwise rent one if a specific job calls for it.

I’m using a slightly different set up these days but the Teradek RT system remains the go to FIZ. I love it, it’s the perfect system for me. If you’re looking to buy something soon then I really can’t recommend the RT enough. The other big systems are at least twice the price for essentially the same features.

Okay thats great to know! curios if you've heard any rumors about any next gen FIZ on the horizion I feel like then nucleaus M needs an update and at tiltas rate should give us one soon but also I wondering if DJI will come out with a fully fledged system soon or teredeck with an update or if its worth just buying into somthing like this or saving up for an ARRI Preston or Cmotion@@JesseNelsonDP

You could definitely wait and see what comes out. I know there will be a new RT system soon but no idea how much it’ll be. I don’t see tilta releasing any new pro level fiz. They seem to be focused on the smaller camera builds/one person operator side of things. You could definitely save up and get one of the Arri/preston/c motion systems but in my opinion they’re to expensive for the feature set when Teradek is offering the same thing and half the price.
