Wow, thanks. I bought one of these a 4-5 years ago and put it to the side because it didn't fit my needs. Not only did your video answer my question of wtf is the USB dongle with absolutely no markings on it do, but also explained what that odd-ball USB/DC power cable I've had laying about.
This is a must have because having a full size keyboard and mouse is just a pain in the ass for HTPC's unless you throw it on the coffee table. In my Bedroom situation this is just all around much easier, I am trying to figure out how to map a key to bring up the onscreen keyboard so I can type with it too.
This mouse is amazing. I have one. There is one feature that you forgot to mention though. You may not even know about it. I had the mouse for over a year before I found it by accident. If you look on the bottom of the device directly below the trigger button, there is an indentation roughly the shape of the wireless USB plug. You can put the wireless USB there and it will stay. There is a magnet. It's quite handy for keeping track of an easy to lose piece.
I ordered this for work. I use it whenever i do not have a desk to work at. with a little practice you can actually type with the mouse in your hand (assuming your hands are large enough)
This works the same way as the wired models, and the main problems with these trac-ball items is the rubber wheels get dirty VERY easily, after a good deal of use the rubber will move on its own and cause trouble. Also after a period of time, the very lightweight metal springs inside will often dislodge or break and then that's all folks! Someone needs to address the weak internal spring issues or don't bother spending any money on these types of mice. I like them because I can sit anywhere away from my PC, but after going thru 4 of them I said enough is enough and switched to a standard wireless table mouse again.
I've gone through a few of these, and you are exactly right...love this mouse but they don't last, I've only gotten a few weeks out of a couple of them.
Greetings. I got my air mouse in the mail today and I love it. I am using it for presentations. I connected my laptop to my tv ( to duplicate) and the mouse is out of sync as I point it to the tv to use. I have to look at the laptop to make sure the mouse is in the right place before I click on anything. Any suggestions?
I was looking at this mouse on new egg and then I decided to look on YT to see if anyone did any reviews, and sure enough Nerdgasm did one. Cool beans...
Please show actual usage video. Buttons programable ? Come with software or is it downloadable ? Is pointer accurate with trackball motion ? What is maximum real world range ? Cause any interference ? Length of battery life vs charge time... Does it play nice with htpc apps like plex, xbmc and Windows Media Player? Can it be used for games like Star craft and the like..
That is my question too! Windows 10 only let's you select your click button but doesn't allow for any assignments. 6 years ago you posed this question... No reply yet...
I used to have a wired one of these about 6 years ago, the USB wiring kind of defeats the purpose though haha. It was really nice and would be useful for a build if I could find it.
1:11 better this than a newegg box where someone like me will automatically perceive it as some random expensive tech to steal and flip, this packaging makes it look less worthy of risk
is this mouse comfortable for every day use? I love my trackball mouse but find it frustrating to use without a desk after about the 1st hour. I'm hoping this would be a good solution for me as I can spend the whole day playing.
Hello friend, I have been looking for a trackball type mouse but do not know what I recomiendasm see you use the "natural laser wireless mouse 6000" I have it but I feel it is not as accurate to design, and certainly not sieno me so comfortable because no I find it necessary to work so emotional design. I bought the cintiq not touch and I realize that I need to have a mouse to move around on the surface of the screen ... what Trackball muse friend recommend me? I'm a designer and I require a lot of precision and above all .... a very big broad hand mouse to my friend ... greetings
Try out the RII mini RF remote ... its hands down the best. full key board, track pad. usb charging and the unit goes into auto sleep after a couple minutes.
For about 6 months this was one of my favorite things I've ever bought. This week, it just started going to sleep every 10 seconds (literally, I timed it) for no apparent reason. If I don't push a button for 10 seconds, it goes down. I've tried replacing the AAA battery, using different USB ports, uninstall/reinstall, changing all the power save settings on my computer and devices. I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
was looking for something like this and almost 6yrs on they're still about the same price on ebay They also still use a trackball (which was outdated even in 2013) instead of a touchpad
I have one like this but mine doesn't recharge like that, it just uses a normal battery. Sometimes I've I found it very hard to open the circular lid to the ball casing so I can clean it, though it's fallen a couple times and just come right open, too, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't know if your buttons are specifically programmable but I didn't see a way to program mine. I wish I could, though. I miss my page back buttons. I was thankful to find that wheel-click was still a thing, though you have to push pretty hard.
Hi, I'm left handed and I've set my regular mouse as well as my touch-pad accordingly, but now this mouse seems to use the main click as the menu button, I tried changing my touch-pad settings to the right handed one but it doesn't seem to work, any suggestions?
just curious, were you thinking of making the trigger right mouse click for easy cam turning in WoW mate?..lol.. it's the reason I've always considered gettin' a trackball..
have the same one just with out the lazer pointer i ended up ading green stuff clay to the right clicks and the top buttons so i didnt have to take my thumb off the ball to click the button
Does it work with Linux Ubuntu operating systems? Newegg says no software required but I've received devices in the past that do not work with anything but Windows. Thanks
Lol I was just gonna ask you what keyboard that was lmao !! I have a 2012 Ducky Year of the Dragon limited edition , MX cherry Red keyboard .. And yours kinda looked like a Ducky also...
Thank you I am thinking of getting one for my laptop found one for cheap on eBay with out laser pointer. I am old and this new stuff scares me I can't afford to waist money. The one I am ordering is 19.00
Scared came from ordering a mouse shaped like a car with head lights real cute. Plugged the dongle in and the computer stopped working. I had to take it to a friend to fix it.
the logitech k400r is the best wireless media keyboard it types nice the battery lasts LITERLY forever (no joke i get six months to a year out of 2 aa batterys and i dont power it off at all
I have one of these but it’s not rechargeable. It uses a AAA battery and the laser pointer doesn’t work. There’s is also a tiny button on the forward side in front of where your finger sits. No idea what that does.
That tiny button controls the color of the scroll wheel light: red, geen,or red and green. try it in a dark room. BTW, my laser pointer works when I press the top left button. Good Luck!
If u like see me using the device, please let me know in comments. so much people I saw asking it as far as I can see if u did it there must be linked, no such think looks like subs got Plenty enough to say fuck them... nice of you and all you could do better for you better for us, just to plug it inside this video for a couple of minutes...., but hey I would rather do a new video for extra u know... and 4 yrs late still not did it xaxa :D
