Hi and thanks for explaining this so well. I have just started contributing to Wirestock for selling some of my drone footage. I already found out about and unchecked the "instant pay" option. What I'm not sure about is the "extra channels" option, which I checked in order to boost my chances of distribution. It also seems to recheck this "instant pay" option for me, even though I changed it in my settings.
@RandomHartz
@RandomHartz Год назад
Your welcome! The extra channels option is a way to get your images and footage to POD, ad agencies, API integrations, etc. randomhartz.com/wirestock-adobe-stock-exclusive-instant-pay-extra-channels/ or you can watch my video about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iYsvb_UNlOw.html I have had a couple of sales this way with images but not with video as of yet. If you end up with a selection that you don't want you can email support to have them remove the agency or channel from your images/videos. It might take a few months to go through like with most agencies FYI. best of luck!!

Cheers, nice summary! Also I cant seem to find a way to remove files properly, I have a bunch of photos that got rejected which I removed from "not accepted" section, but they still showing up in my Portfolio for some reason. When you click on the photo in the portfolio it fails to load just goes blank, unless I click on those that got accepted then it opens up. But makes no sense why all the thumbnails of the photos that I removed are still showing on portfolio with no way to remove them completely, there also seems to be double ups in the portfolio, some photos showing twice wtf! So the portfolio is basically a complete mess right now with no way to sort, remove and clean things up. The system seems very dated and clunky, with very little freedom to do anything. I guess simplicity is also nice but at same time I feel like even some of the basic features don't work very well. Had hopes for Wirestock, sounded great on paper but in reality not enjoying it so far.

I have noticed some doubling of assets as well on my portfolio page. They here are some glitches that get a bit annoying. Try refreshing the page or opening it up in afresh browser window. Otherwise I would reach out to Customer service to see if they are aware or can offer insight.

Hey Joel, WS says on the site a maximum of 1GB, but when I upload a video of max 60 sec and above 500mb to 1GB it is not processed on the upload page, with SS I never had this problem. Now I have to shorten the videos and lower the quality which I'd rather not do. What is your experience with uploading video material?
@RandomHartz

I understand there are some issues with multiple video files uploading through the dashboard. I have experienced a few that i had to reupload. Mine haven't been over 250GB though. Have you tried uploading via FTP? I would try that first. Here are the specs: Accepted formats: Mov, MP4 Maximum size: 1GB Maximum duration: 60 seconds Minimum Duration: 5 seconds Audio: No Accepted resolutions: 1920x1080, 2048x1080, 3840x2160, 4096x2160, 4096x2304, 3996x2160, 4800x2700, 1080x1920 Framerate: 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, 60

Great video. Under your perspective, BlackBox or Wirestock and why?
@RandomHartz
@RandomHartz Год назад
Hmm.. that is a tough one. They both have advantages and some of the same disadvantages. Black box submits to Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Pond5, VimeoStock, DepositPhotos, Videvo, Envato Elements and VideoHive. But I am not sure if you can choose which of those agencies your files are submitted to. Wirestock gives you the option to select which partner sites you want to submit to. Currently those are Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Deposit Photos, Pond5 (just like blackbox) as well as istock/Getty and the extra channels program. So if you are focus on video then Black box might be your best bet, but you will have to do all of your keywording, descriptions yourself or share a percentage of your commission with another blackbox member to "curruate" it for you. That looks be cost between 15 and 20% of any Potential sales through Black box. WIrestock can handle a lot of the keywording and descriptions but may not be the most detailed or specific. I don't know if that would affect sales. I imagine that it likely would not since they ONLY earn a commision if you sell something. They both take a 15% commision of sales. Black Box is video only. Whereas WIrstock is both plus vectors Remember also that on both platforms you dont get any feedback as to which agencies your footage actually ended up getting accepted to. You have to search each stock agency yourself. I have not used Black box yet but maybe i need to give it a try soon. So to answer your question... I don't know yet. So far I have been trying out wirestock but it's probably time to try Black box out as well ( for video)

Thanks for the informative video. Can you tell me is there a way to not take part in the Instant Pay Program? It doesn't sound like it a positive aspect of Wirestock. Also, I currently have some photos on some of these stock websites. Will I then have a possible duplicate submission on a site? Thank you!
@RandomHartz
@RandomHartz 2 года назад
You can opt in to the Instant Pay program when you are ready to submit your files. Just like all of the other stock agencies or the wirestock programs. Like I said it is an optional aspect of wirestock. I personally dont like it because I dont want my images on freepix. It is for those interested in earning a one time upfront price for their images. I am more interested in earning money over time from image licences. When you are submitting images on wirestock that you have on other agencies just select the individual agencies you wish to submit those images to. This way you can minimize any duplicate submission issues. Thanks for watching and I hope it helps! Check out my other wirestock videos for more.

In my experience yes. You can turn off easy submission and fill out whatever info you have then turn it back on, that seems to help a little. I just saw that wirestock is adding an upgrade option for "guaranteed processing in 48 hours". It's like $10 a month and not worth it in my opinion. Most stock won't sell immediately anyway so a week or two processing anit a big deal to me. If it is time critical then wirestock is not your best option.

As far as I'm aware you can upload a lot if files in a day, but you are limited on how many you can submit via "easy submission". I think you can upload as many manually (you do all of the titles, description and keywords) as you like. Bit I've never tried uploading that many personally. Since this video came out they have lowered the number of "easy submissions" per month. I think it's 300 a month if you have 80-90 acceptance rate and 500 if your above 90%.

Great video, thanks! Any details about this new Premium option for faster keywording and review? I am disappointed with the delays in reviewing the video content, some of my clips have been waiting since January 21st, although they assure me in an email dated March 23rd that they are working to reduce the review time. I really hope this option we have to pay for isn't the only solution they are working on for faster keywording and review.
@RandomHartz
@RandomHartz 2 года назад
I just saw the premium button right after I uploaded this video. Unfortunately I dont have any info as of yet, but from what I have seen on the site I am not pleased with it. It seems to run counter to their marketing for the last few years. I would not recommend it especially since they are taking a 15% for their service already. I have found quicker review times when I add metadata to the files and upload in at least small batches. I am wondering if the premium might be for creators who are uploading massive amounts of assets, it could be that is what is holding up the review times, volume, as it gets more popular.
@fascinatingfacts330

Same, I have Christmas stock still pending review. I have used WS since last July, and review times were never fast, but now they seem to have stopped completely. I am wondering if this was a run-up strategy to charging for review times. Either pay or have stuff sitting there for months.

@@fascinatingfacts330 I just had some video clips go through in like 24 hours, but others from the same batch still waiting. The ones that went through had full titles, descriptions and at least 30 keywords. That seems to be the quickest way i found to get stuff reviewed, it is just kind of sporadic 🤷‍♂️ I don't think it is, but you never know? I want to think it is simply due to the growth they are seeing and maybe photogs bringing on hundreds of images each week rather than the paltry few I manage to get uploaded. But I don't know.

@@RandomHartz Well I bit the bullet and paid it. I can imagine if they have 1000s of people uploading 1000s of photos they are not going to cope. @RandomHartz
@RandomHartz Год назад
Those are good points. I am not too worried about losing 15% on pennies, that is nothing if it in fact pennies. You are saving time at the very least with wirestock uploading to multiple sites at once. Granted, your assets may not get on to all of the sites you submit for, but it is likely the same if you upload directly to each of those sites. Personally I use wirestock and upload to each site. I am seeing how it goes sales and earnings wise. I have earned more pennies as you say on individual commissions even after the 15% cut with sites like shutterstock and depositphotos since wirestock is in the highest commision tier with those agencies. Of course any agency can go belly up and or deactivate your account as well. It has and will keep happening. What do you do now? Upload to individual sites? Use any kind of uploader or keyworder?

So I decided to focus on videos, recently im also keeping an eye on stock music, I have got little music theory knowledge so I may also produce music and upload in these sites, so my main focus will be videos and music for now.
