I have 2 sound clips at the end of this video that give you a comparison between in-phase and counter-phase speaker wiring.
A blues harp amp speaker baffle should floats or have minimal fixed point attachment in the amp cabinet. If the speaker baffle plate floats, then the speaker wiring produces a noticeable difference in sound for twin speaker blues harp amp. Counter-phase wiring produces more clarity and in-phase wiring produces more distortion.
However, if the speaker baffle is rigidly fixed along all it's sides to the cabinet, then the difference in distortion is minimal. If you are building a blues harp amp, then the baffle should float. A blues harp amp baffle is not constructed the same way as for a stereo speaker.
And, for a blues harp amp, the lower grade "junk" PA speakers are exactly what were used in the original guitar amps. Mis-matched speakers in a blues amp also add character to the blues amp. Don't shy away from a minor tear in the cone either.
