Wow! So well done. I’m pitiful when it comes to wiring stuff but you did such a great job of explaining that I think even I can do the install without screwing it up. Thanks for the clear explanation.
Man, awesome video, so glad that i got the tow opinion with the Aux switches on my Jeep Sahara JL. This video just sealed it for me to get these LED. Thanks for sharing
You don't have to fish the wires by the wiper motor, just use the factory notch in the hood gasket into the engine compartment. That's how I ran my KC Hilites and it keeps the wires out of the weather.
When you turn on your radio do you get any interference noise when the lights are turned on? I did the same, but on a certain radio channel I get incredible noise interference.
You didn’t have to hook anything to positive side of battery?- I have ‘21 Wrangler- trying to install KC Hilights- harness is designed for switch as well with relay and there isn’t a red wire - I got yellow/black/green/white - stumped on which to hook up
I have a jeep gladiator too but under the cowl cover do you know what the wiring harness is called because those got cut on mine and now it says check shifter and can’t put in gear
Where did you pull the wire up through the hood to your lights? I see some room at the hinge of the hood, but just wondering what access spot everyone is using.
The color codes are all in the owners manual. The lower amp wires are great for LED lights, but if you have halogens you may need more amps. Or if you're going to run fans or other accessories the 40 amp wires are used.
Should be taped up and stowed inside the fender near the battery. It's typically easy to find. Maybe yours was skipped by mistake at the factory? Check with your dealership.
