I've been struggling finding out info on the Honeywell door chime so this has been great.... A diagram would be brilliant for others to follow. Anyway my setup is slightly different but still works even though my electrician bought the DW315XX, wired the cat 6 cable but didn't connect it as he said my Google Battery Doorbell aint compatible. Anyway it does work, the only thing I was unsure about was the AC2 connector. Thanks again!!

Hello Raj..Glad it was helpful. I will do a diagram and post it also. Most 'standard' electricians are clueless about Google NEST Doorbells and it was an irritant for me hence why I sorted it myself!

I am thinking of getting this chime and wiring it to a google doorbell battery. I don't suppose you have a wiring diagram do you? Finding information on connecting the battery doorbell to a chime is so hard, so happy I've stumbled upon this video!

@@ryanhicks4256 Hi Pal - My doorbell is the battery version Google Nest Doorbell (I know that sounds daft but it can defo be wired up) so I think it is much easier to wire in as I don't have the white "puck". The Doorchime is DW315XX which has the same mount as in this video. I'll try and explain as I'm not sure how to post a diagram here... I've got a cat 6 cable from the transformer to the chime and then it continues to the doorbell. At the transformer I connected 1 wire to 0v another wire to 12v and a 3rd wire to 12v. At the Doorchime - the 0v connects to AC1 and one of the 12v wires connects to AC2 - this powers the chime. From the door chime you need to connect a spare wire to A1. This wire then goes to the doorbell. So the last bit of cabling is to use the other "3rd" 12v transformer wire and connect it to the doorbell....& you are so right a pic would be much better!! I'm no electrician so at your own risk.... Not quite finished as on my doorbell app I told it that this is a wired installation and that it has an electronic chime and voila!! Another comment about my doorbell is that if you whack everything on so it records all events it will drain down the battery as it eats more power than can be supplied. This is certainly the case at the moment with the cold temps. Anyway good luck and let everyone know how you get on!!

@Raj B Thankyou ever so much for your reply. This is the exact setup I'm looking to do. Google Battery doorbell wired in to this exact chime. Literally zero wiring diagrams on the web about how to do this but I think you've nailed it. Will try your setup over the weekend. Really appreciate you taking the time to reply!

@@ryanhicks4256 I don't know if you saw the wiring diagram I posted? Weird it isn't showing up. If you PM me (not sure if you can, phone number) I can take a video of the end to end.. or I will try upload again via a link

Fairly new to making videos etc so if you would like an end to end video then I can upload one showing the joins of wires and into and out of the transformer into the Honeywell Unit. Any questions, just shout!

Thank you for your video. I am not finding a 24V chime to install with my Nest Hello. Your solution looks great. However something is not clear for me: You are saying that you are using a 24V AC transformer. The Honeywell DW915s chime is 8V/12V AC. The Nest Hello requires 12 to 24 V AC. Are you connecting the 24V transformer directly to the 12V DW915s chime (in AC2)?

@@PatrickFarrugia Sorry just seen this comment. Don't get notified for comments. I will double check for you shortly and post a comment but from memory (if you haven't sorted this already) There are two pins on the BG transformer that come out of the top of the terminal - PIN 1 (0v) and PIN 4 (24v) which I probably meant. You connect both to those. And then wire up as per above. Give me a shout if you haven't sorted it and I will take a video of the unit for you.

Have purchased a Honeywell DC9 and cannot open up wire clips on the converter . Where do you push the clips to open them for insertion of the wires. Others have. Said they are very fragile

In the middle of wiring mine in and would be keen if you can to see a wiring diagram that your install used?
