I no expert but I suspect the griefing part is also about trying to detroy the pyramids themselves, like how invaders have done through the ages to buildings and monuments.

because the actual world record at that time was the author medal time, not his run on the leaderboard, hence getting the author medal makes it a world record.

Apparently this map has been out since before Deep Dip but no one had beaten the author time till this run. So the map itself is completable. The author time is what made it hard
