@@FoxPineOutdoors What does that have to do with the fact that Northern Wisconsin has seen a decrease in deer population because of all the doe hunters and wolves..... If you're not seeing deer it's not smart to shoot your breeding population
@@wijoey710 I do understand your point and I know that it is the most popular feeling. And i appreciate your comments being civil. Thank you. As far as my philosophy on the matter, i will say the deer advisory council recommended a doe harvest of 600 and but we only had ~400. The forests are significantly overgrazed. They are not regenerating sustainably. Also, the buck to doe harvest was 2.4:1 this year and 3:1 last year. I know it sounds counter intuitive but I do think we need to harvest does in our area.
