Mark Shepard says farming needs to evolve in order to feed the world and protect the environment. He says his farm near Viola is living proof that perennial crops and water management is the solution. Shepard says farmers don’t need to give up everything they know to practice restoration agriculture. They can add it to what they already do and increase their profits along the way.

I would contest the "adding trees" with adding prairie instead to control erosion, provide watershed management superior to embankments, and provide a healthy pollinator base that opens a means for pest insects to have predators...amongst numerous other benefits that trees can't compete with, C02 sequestering is superior with native prairie ecotype in place.

Very interedting i h ave 5.5 acees here in Florida i have been doing the same species that florish with no work my land i s next to 15000 acres of federal land iam blessed😢
